The rooms are quite small and in need of refurbishing. The elevators did not always work, a problem for 12 floors. Food was very good but the bar was small.

I want to express my disappointment with the experience in our room (1134). In particular the toilet was blocked and flushing was problematic. We were not supplied with renewed supply of coffee, or cups (which we had to ask for) or sufficient toilet paper. When we arrived there was food product in the mini fridge from prior clients which was disgusting and messy and we had to ask for it to be removed. Overall presentation of the room and equipment was poor. No iron, telephone for room service out of order, bedside light not working,. As an Accor member I am disappointed with the experience, especially since this was a special trip I had planned for a long time, and given the expensive room rate for the room provided.

This was my worst experience ever with Mercure. On our second day, we informed the reception that the toilet was not functioning and were promised immediate action. When we returned at 5 pm, not only the toilet was still blocked, but the room was not done. We had to change rooms. On our last day, the toilet in the new room was clogged. The reception area was not inviting.

Got in early, room ready, great! Room really dumpy...and, no pillows on bed???? Called down and they said they would send up - instead man comes and says pillows in closet and talked to me like I was crazy for thinking on bed. I asked for a new one since it was obviously sitting in closet for awhile and who knows what happened to it....and then he brings me two pillows (great) - but with pillow cases not on them and said he said he could put them on pillows if I couldn't....what kind of service is this? This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel?!?! This is at best a 2.5 stars. I should have stayed at another hotel....just glad here one night Additionalyl - the bed's linens are so scratchy and uncomfortable which is made worse because the AC does not work in the room very well. It is not cooling. Plus - all - ALL of the outlets are so worn that plugs do not stay in them - with one outlet full of brown icky sticky stuff inside. The toilet was disgusting and the "room" it was in smelly and dirty.
