This was the first time for myself and my colleague to stay in rooms at Hotel MERCURE Paris Centre Eiffel and we were both pleasantly surprised by the clean and practical presentation of the hotel. The check in staff and reception staff were very attentive and patient and my colleague was upgraded from Classic to Privilege which made her very happy too, so that was a good start. The buffet breakfast was very well presented with many choices of cold and hot fresh dishes and drinks, breads, fruits etc.

Room 216 did not have a working AC Unit. The room was extremely hot. I went to report it to the front desk 24 hours later and nothing was done to fix it. I am also irritated at the fact that there were very faint light taps at my door. I didn't even know it was at my door. Then someone opened my door. I said hello, then they disappeared. My roommate needed some personal hygiene care and the hotel didn't have the basics for sale. which was pretty disappointing. My entire stay was miserably warm, my first time in Paris will be the last time. I am so tired due to not being able to sleep in the hot room. I wont ever stay at another Mercure. I saw another couple speaking a language that i didn't understand, they checked out earlier due to the room being too hot.

Room too hot. Fan was needed. No a/c available evidently. Breakfast was great. Upholstry very dirty so we put on luggage on it. Loved being so close to Eiffel Tower.
