Since I’m not a fan of writing reviews as a person who also works in hotels I did want to share some feedback since we thought our stay was not that great nor up to a 4 star level or worth what we paid for. There were quite some thing that did not go well with the communication. I understand we are in France but the very basic English skills for any employee were not there. We tried our best with basic French but that was also not understood. I made the reservations already with breakfast and a dinner reservation which we were asked at the reception while we already booked this in advance. The room was ok and spacious but missing basic amenities. Wooden spoons instead of just spoons, coffee in a sachet, shampoo and shower gel in one don’t really say 4 star level. Our toilet was also extremely filthy, as it looked but did smell clean, see photo attached. No mini bar, no bathrobe or slippers (we saw other guests with them?!) and a dirty kettle. We also paid extra for our dog but nothing like even a bowl for him to drink from in there. Especially our experience at the restaurant was not that good. The food was ok but, besides the friendly gentleman, the rest of the staff seems untrained. It took very long for everything, for getting the menu, the drinks, our fries were forgotten so we received these after we finished our mains. The couple next to us and the family next to us all had to wait for a a crazy long time and also staff forgetting things or delivering food or drinks after way too long. There were not a lot of people there so not sure why it all took that long. The spa was fine but the hammam was bit moldy. Since the communication was already met with misunderstanding due to the language barrier and we only stayed for one night we did not say anything whilst being at the hotel so I chose to write this email.

The hotel, restaurant snd spa facilities were all very good quality and we had a great stay and will definitely come back to escape Paris heat and business. The only downside is the limited consideration for children, who are only allowed until 10am or after 8pm at the spa/pool. The timeframe is absurd for anyone who has kids and while i understand some guests prefer adult only company, you could perhaps have an extended day window for kids and not allow them in the evenings?
