This was our first of what we hope will be many visits to Lyon. The location was perfect for our needs, close to the historic and vibrant but family-oriented neighborhood of Croix Rousse, offering great views over the Rhône. The hotel is small enough for it to feel cozy, but is very comfortable. Best of all is the extremely cheerful, helpful and efficient staff who patiently dealt with a wide range of information inquiries and requests for help: special accommodation for people with disabilities; private taxi and public transportation arrangements; advice on local tourist sites, guides and excursions; information on a range of issues from nearby cafes and restaurants to local chocolate shops and banking. There must be many other excellent hotels in Lyon, but there is no reason for us to look anywhere else. Our only concern is that once the word gets out, it may become too popular!

My son (adult) and I stayed 1 night in the duplex room furnished with a bed on the mezzanine and a sofa bed in the lower level. We really appreciated the kindness of the staff at all time, the setup of the room, the quality of the breakfast, the location of the hotel for our appointment on the next morning. An excellent stay in all aspects, I can only recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Fort St Laurent Lyon – Handwritten Collection. The hotel is beautiful, with a unique atmosphere, stylish rooms, and an amazing view over the city. The reception staff were especially kind and very helpful throughout our stay, making everything easy and pleasant for us. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay here again.
