We would definitely return to the Carlton! The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was good and thy have a very nice hotel bar. They don't have a dinner restaurant but the hotel is surrounded with delicious dining options. Our room had a terrace overlooking the square. We loved it.

We had a lovely stay at the beautiful Hotel Carlton. Rooms were very large, comfortable and stocked full of many amenities. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast offered many options and was convenient, but quality was surprisingly so-so. We would definitely stay there again.

Warm welcome upon arrival. Although we arrived a little before the formal check in time we were pleased to find that our room was ready. Very pleased with our large and clean bedroom/bathroom. Breakfast choices plentiful. Hotel is in a very good, safe location. Would definitely stay here again.

It was just OK. The staff was friendly and the room comfortable and quiet, but cleanliness was just so-so. The hotel has a musty smell and several areas in my room needed attention. The shower has an odd entry and is very slippery. Using the rubber mats is a must. It could certainly have been better designed. I also experienced a broken elevator and once I was taken up in the service elevator, felt trapped in my room many floors up until the next morning. No attempt was made to report on its status. Breakfast was just OK...plenty of selection, but some of it looked past its prime.

The room was lovely, spacious, and very clean. The extra fan in the room was helpful after one very warm day. Hotel staff could not be friendlier. The breakfast was delicious! Sooo many tasty options! Last, the hotel was really well located for our needs. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

When I arrived, i was tired, had issues with flights and trains, and the lovely person at reception said 3 things: the specific room i requested was available, the pillows were firm, and my parcel was placed in the room, waiting for me. I don't think it could have been any better. Oh and they had some marvelous pralines at reception. Absolute perfection.

We have stayed at the Carleton Hotel Lyon many times over several years. It is always spotless and very quiet. The front desk staff is always very helpful. The location is wonderful and there are manu good restaurants within walking distance. We also walked to both Perrache and Part Dieu (the main Lyon station). We needed a taxi for. 4:45 am to catch a train to Paris Charles deGaulle and the hotel arranged our reliable pickup. We will be there again before too long!

Everything was great- especially the staff and cleanliness- only other feedbakc would be it felt slightly dated in the rooms and the AC was pretty weak- if it had been hotter I would have been concerned.

I booked the hotel using the Friends & Family rate. At check-in, I presented a legitimate Hearts card belonging to a friend. However, the staff also demanded a copy of my friend’s ID, which he was not comfortable sharing for privacy reasons. At check-out, a member of staff then accused me of presenting a fake Hearts card, which was both inappropriate and insulting. The whole experience was extremely unpleasant, and I will not return to this hotel.

Well located, easy walking to most attractions, restaurants and shops. Comfortable bed and lovely terrace in the room, good breakfast offered. Unfortunately the aircondition was noisy and in general the room a bit dated
