Better Choices for touring

Better choices if you are on vacation to see Lyon. Not much to do, see or eat near hotel. Must walk or take taxi to most sites/tours. 20-30 minute walk. Also, Not a convenient walk to train station. Restaurant and breakfast food was ok. Staff could do better. They offer omelettes and breakfast sandwiches to order but you are better off not bothering them. Reception busy on their laptops. Lucky if you get a bonjour as you enter. Pillows were small and thin. No filling. Sheets were full of fuzz balls. Bed hard. One positive was a clean room but lacked any place to sit down other than the bed. Booked multiple Mercure hotels in France on this trip. Lack of consistency in different Mercure hotels is frustrating.

The hotel unfortunately didn't offer any fresh vegetables, which was a little bit disappointing. Other points were all OK. When I arrived at the hotel on 13 October, the hotel charged me €1760 as the deposit. When we checked out on 19 October, I paid €1398.85 with my credit card. While the hotel mentioned the deposit (€1760) would be soon canceled, my card company tells me that the fee is still being charged by your hotel. Please cancel the deposit fee as soon as possible, or please make sure the deposit will be cancelled soon.

Wonderful contacs and follow up before coming Wonderful welcome on arrival Wonderful help once there Wonderful Service and personal Room clean, nice, quiet. Perfect The only thing which shocked me = at breakfast, the sign with cost for chocolatines and free "pains au chocolat”! Even if a joke, I don’t think it has be present in this context By the way, chocolatines were far better than the "pains au chocolat" (already the name taste much better!)
