We had only one request and only one request - A quiet room. We were fleeing what was going to be a noisy environment on the night of 12/31/20 and chose your location as you promised it would be quiet. You placed us in a spectacular room and exactly what we expected. Until we went to bed and found the neighbors above were making as much noise as what we were trying to avoid. You moved us to a lower class of room at midnight since you had no control over this noise issue. We ended up in a lesser quality and did not have the only thing we asked for - a quiet place to sleep.

Nice hotel, the staff accommodated my family in two next door rooms which was ideal for our kids. Well located next to restaurants (try the one just next door Peruvian French food) and the Tete d’or Park.

Well located hotel near the hear of the city

The hotel was fine, reception staff accommodating. The bathroom smelled badly of rot, or mould. This is likely due to a water leak, which smells like it has been going on a long time. I managed to sleep in the room by keeping the bathroom door closed the entire time - Your colleague at the front desk in the morning asked me how my stay was and I reported this. She offered her excuses. Upon my asking for the location around the hotel where I could have a coffee, she offered the breakfast - but I indicated that I wasn't interested in 18 euro for a cup of coffee. She COMPLETELY surprised me, (for a French hotel anyway) and said to me to have a seat, and that she would bring me a coffee. TOTALLY UNEXPECTED and amazing behaviour - and also just right. This was the right move at the right time, and given my complaint earlier, made the bad experience good again. Peter

We enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Lyon Centre Brotteaux. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on restaurants around town and with directions on how to get to places. The room was clean and spacious.

Room and bathroom are very small. Unfortunately the water from the shower leaks out to the parquet, which is a pity, so I had to dry the floor by myself. Breakfast was good. Not included in the price thought. Even here, some repeated issues with maintenance, the coffee machine that doesn't work and get stuck ("promptly" fixed with a knife or a pair of scissors.. maybe it would be better to trepair the machine instead).

Everything was enough good, the reception and the breakfast staff were amazing. The hotel was quite and clean, the only problem was the distance between the bed and the wall was too tide to walk, the booklet shelf located under the tv has sharp corners, my wife crashed there during the night time when the room was dark, I just wanted to remind this, it was not complaint, obviously it's a decoration fault.

It was a pleasant stay at this city Hotel. Due to the age of the building the quality is lacking a little. Air conditioning thermostat doesn't react on the temperature gage, so I just turned it down all the way to get cool enough, capacity of system is not enough. Maybe if possible it would be good to ad outside shades to the property, would keep the heat and light out. Some people complained about the heat in the room when in July it was 40C+ outside. We didn't experience that because it was a cool mid twenties (about 25C) temperature. The lift was slow and small but, I enjoyed it so much bringing back memories of the past when life had a different pace.

The hotel rooms are very nice, clean and well organized. The staff is very kind and professional, except the woman who work in the breakfast room who was not very kind andand professional. The breakfast is very poor compared with the one offered in other accor hotels of the city (like mercure Lafayette, novotel part dieu, mercure charpenne).

A very good hotel not too far from the station, close to metro, trams and buses. Friendly staff, a good-sized bedroom with very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast which set us up for the day and close to several restaurants for eating at lunchtime or in the evening. All in all a very good experience.

While the hotel was nice and properly maintained, our room was very hot and not well ventilated. The thermostat was not functioning, and when we asked why we couldn't cool our room, we were told that the "air conditioning was turned off because it was winter." While we were there, outside temperatures were mild, but the room stayed at ~24-25 degrees. Coming from a cooler city, this made sleeping very uncomfortable. We tried opening our window, but that made the room too noisy and mosquitoes also came into the room. Being able to moderate the temperature in our room is a basic requirement in my opinion, and I was disappointed that a hotel of that caliber would shut their system off even when outside temperatures were quite warm.

In France from the beginning of October the temperatures become very fresh and most of our customers wish the heating. During your stay the outside temperatures were higher than previous week, and only the heating was accessible. We regret that it perturbed your stay, and are sincerely sorry about it.
