I had overall a lovely stay at the Grand hotel des brotteaux. The staff were very nice, the room was very pretty and comfortable. We couldn’t hear the street noise which is a big plus considering the location. My only few remarks which is why I couldn’t give it a 10 was the cleanliness. For a 4 stars hotel I would expect neat of neat. When I first stepped in the bathroom a hair was on the sink. Then you could see a little bit of red mold in between the shower crease. The door of the shower wasn’t fully going down so water went everywhere on the floor everytime I showered. I get it was easy to miss but on the ceiling corner above the bed there was a spider web. I know those are small details not the worst but I prefer to bring them up. I wouldn’t mind for an ibis hotel. But not for that one. Also the ceiling being very high the AC even at the lowest level blowing full blast was not really refreshing the room. Thankfully they were very nice and they brought me a fan as it was quite warm.

Family of three, we stayed 2 nights, our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and professional. Very good breakfast. Overall a great stay. The hotel us also in a great location especially if traveling to/from the main train station.

The hotel is located at nice place, very calm and easy access to public transportation. It is about 300 meter apart from Saint Gervais downtown. Safe & calm. In the Italian restaurant, Avanti, offers excellent pizza, spagetti and Savoia’s traditional foods. The staffs greet me so kindly with smile. I’d like to stay in my next trip. This is far better than Chamonix or Les Houches hotels.

I had a very comfortable stay, enjoyed the great building, the nice room and good breakfast. However, I regret that there was quite some noise at night from traffic which regularly made me awake. Felt exhausted after this week, due to bad sleeping quality.

This lovely hotel was a real surprise and we found it perfect for our stay in Lyon. It was well located with fabulous quality restaurants near by. The room was beautiful and bed very comfortable, again a surprise as we have found beds in Europe hard and this was perfect for us. Only feedback is the room temperature was too hot and this could not be adjusted for some reason.

Positioned near plenty of nice restaurants and cafes, this hotel is a lovely place to stay. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the place has a relaxed feel to it. Rooms are not large but that are well furnished and comfortable.

Room - Clean & quite in evening. Well equip especially with instant Hot Water & Coffee machine. 5 packs of tea & 2 dossier of coffee provide, If it can add some milk which will be nice touch. Well prepare that there is no slipper, tooth brush & tooth paste provided. Shower - Clean but if have some instruction how to use the switch btw Top shower & hand shower(turn upper side - Top shower, turn downward side - hand shower) will be great as you might be surprised get cold water on your head. Reception - Check in, should remind customer the time begin at 6.30 am will be nice touch. Breakfast - Prepared food - Scrambled egg - little too smoothy - it might be too much milk or cream added. Sausage or meat - Don't have ticket so don't know what's that meat, taste horrible. Potato - too cook, Tomato sauces bean - OK. Bread - Well provided, French baguette, pan cake, little bread. Fruit - Banana & some others Ham - OK, Butter & jam, Cereals - All provided & nice. There is coffee machine & coffee provided but for Tea, must be order the waiter/waitress to get the hot water & hot milk. Suggest to have additional boil egg machine (if possible) & replace machine that can have coffee & hot water. Sure if it can have teapot will be more welcome. Lift - renovated & some time need to close well outside in order to work properly. It can't load too much people, you will see the sign of overload but no sound.... Environment - Very close to old Brotteau train station & nearby had good & reasonable price restaurant - Korean - OGAM 4 min walk, French Bristol style - le Splendid Lyon, 2 mins walk. Check in 20/1 & 21/1. Recommend to short & long stay for business !
