I stayed here for 2 nights to explore the quieter side of Nara, and I was truely amazed by it. The hotel is just located outside a station, that makes it so convenient for travellers like me (without a car). There is a supermarket, Diaso, macdonald, small eateries within walking distance. What is really amazing is the hospitality of the hotel staff, from the moment I checked in, to meals and to check-out. The meals are good, with many options and free flow of drinks, including beer, wine, and soft drinks, etc. The lounge in the afternoon is also great for guests to have a drink while checking in. I will come back again.

Room was old-fashioned 'business hotel' style and I couldn't see any renovation in particular. The hotel itself was very clean and fully equipped, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Well located.

The location was very near the train altho far from nara park. The rates and room bookingbare very confusing. Is it per room or per person? It doesnt matter what room you book because the front desk charges per person. I got two rooms with capacity for 7 people each room. And we are just 3 adults and 1 15 year old. I was charge an extra room for the extra person. The room rate charging is very stressful. Although i wanted to try sleeping in the tradiional room with futton beds, the lines and beddings were dirty. The toilet was also not at par with cleanliness. Lighting was also not good. I had to ask to move to another room. The best part was the onsen facilities. Its the only part i like in the hotel. The lounge and the vinegar tea was the best. I hope you can fix your room rates and also the traditional rooms concept be retained but the interiors and cleanliness updated.
