This is the best location to stay at for easy transfers. Very easy to come here if coming from KIX via the JR Haruka as the hotel is right in front of Kyoto Station. Check in and check out processes were fast and smooth. The staff are warm and accommodating. The room is clean, small (as expected in Japan), but comfortable enough for two. The only thing I did not like is that the aircon is centralized so you essentially have no control of your room temperature. We stayed mid November so the weather is cold, but they turn on the heating at night so we just opted to turn it off as it became very warm and just opened the window to cool the room. But since the hotel is in front of a busy Kyoto Station, opening the window made it noisy even at 3am, hindering us from getting good sleep. Overall, it was a good stay.
