Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is very conveniently located next to the Kyoto Station. Considering its proximity to the huge Kyoto station, the room is very sound proofed.

During the first linen change, housekeeping lost my personal item of immense value (my sleeping aid - a pink stuffed turtle). I was told that because housekeeping is outsourced, the item was "hard to trace." The hotel refused to take responsibility for their own contractors' mistakes. I asked the front office staff to follow-up REPEATEDLY but they did not make effort to contact the contractor until the day I checked out.

Good stay. The room is quite small relative to the number of pax per room but true to the published size. The room reflects minimalist concept. The staff are courteous.
