The staff were wonderfully kind and helpful at every time of day and the facilities offered were comfortable and clean. The interior design of the lobby, restaurant, and rooms were superb and my husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay in Nara despite the torrential rain that surprised us. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great experience with exceptional service from the staff at Novotel Nara. The room was extremely clean and very well organised with everything we were expecting in place. Staff were happy and courteous; nothing was too much trouble. We don’t speak Japanese but that wasn’t a problem as many of the staff do and those who didn’t, managed to understand what we wanted. This was our first stop on our trip and we felt welcome and looked after. Much appreciated. We were able to walk to many places and there are many buses that travel past the Hotel regularly if needed. Nara train station is a short walk (20mins) but Novotel Nara has a shuttle service to Nara Station and Yomato-Saidaiji Station.

We loved the breakfast at this hotel, special shout out to the Head of F&B who was on hand in the morning’s explaining some of the special dishes and showed great passion and customer service! Thoroughly impressive breakfast line up with all the trimmings. Great value stay but best left for those really wanting to take their time to explore all that Nara has to offer. Areas for improvement are the Executive lounge which should really have a better selection of canapes rather than a few nuts and snacks. Loved the large Onsen bath area and massage chairs, overall we enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Novotel Nara.

The bar also serves a good glass of wine. However, the server is a bit new to hospitalizing customers. In addition, the bar's ceiling light is so bright that it might be better if it were darker appropriately.
