Good stay, comfortable and nice service. First thing that really impress me is the decorations and hotel interior, very well designed. Staffs are really helpful especially a woman at the front desk in the morning shift during my check out date, she helps me a lot with airport bus booking and transportation arrangement. Hotel provided some of important documents such as airport shuttle and so on with english version, also the staffs can communicate in english very well. Really traveller and foreigners friendly. The location is also good, Donki, shops, restaurants, and Kyoto station can be reached within walking distance. Not far from Kyoto station but not that close as well, traveller with less stuff can walk to the hotel but if you have more luggage I recommend to take a taxi especially in rainy day. Able to store the luggage before check in and after check out. Welcome gift for ALL exclusive member is nice and can feel the touch of local as well. Note. There is only restaurant in the hotel so it can be very busy in breakfast time.

Rooms are small

Dear Fatma A., Thank you so much for your stay and taking time to share your experience at Mercure Kyoto Station. We are very sorry that you couldn't enjoy the view from the room. Windows in some of the rooms are covered with frosted glasses for security and privacy reasons, so it is necessary. However, we understand how disappointing not to have view from rooms, so we will consider if there is any other way as alternative options. Furthermore, we will make an effort to build a system to let the guests know the information beforehand. Thank you for your stay with us again. We had a great experience staying at Mercure Kyoto station. Location was convenient and the staff extremely helpful. In particular, we had to reach out to JR Rail customer service as we had lost an item on the bullet train and one of the concierge members, Helena, was kind enough to help translate for us which made things easier in an already stressful situation. We'd definitely recommend this hotel as we had a great stay.
