The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station. As a newly-built property, it fully meets Mercure's standard specifications, and its location makes it a comfortable and convenient choice for travelers visiting Kyoto. However, there are several aspects that fell short of expectations. Compared to other Accor hotels in Japan, this property failed to provide any welcome amenities or gifts during my stay. Additionally, no welcome drinks were available after the on-site restaurant closed at 21:30. I requested a late check-out until 15:00 on my departure date, but this was declined—with the hotel citing room availability constraints, I was only permitted to check out by 13:30. Regarding the breakfast, it merely meets basic standards with only slight daily variations, which would easily feel tedious for guests staying for an extended period. As an Accor Diamond member, I am highly disappointed with this hotel. Despite its excellent environment and facilities, the member-exclusive services during my stay were notably inadequate.

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and beds are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of food options.
