Very nice design and staff. I especially like all the USB plugs, control, water boiler and hair dryer. Everything is impeccably clean. Labeling on shampoo and soap needs improvement. Parking was difficult but we managed.

Although I experienced a period of 14 day's the quarantine, the hotel provided good service. Therefore, this period was not difficult at all. Everything was very good, and I just found a little error in hotel's ad referring to breakfast. The ad displayed in TV which says that "2000 yen all-incusive", and obviously there is a spelling error "incusive".

Not a hotel for business purpose

Interior and furniture are fancy, even artistic. Facility is new, (opened in 2020) and the room is spacious, it has perfectly comfortable bedding.(Bedding is why I occasionally choose 4 star or at least mid or mid upper scale hotel. Other than that, I usually go for ibis.) but no laundry service or even a self laundery room in midscale hotel? I don't understand. No iron in the room... no introduction helping guests get to know what they can borrow or can do around this hotel... for the first 2 days, it was so unhelpful not to have a officestyle desk and chair so I asked if they could offer me, then they prepared. and the chair is... not very comfortable compared to other fancy furniture. No printing service... is this hotel for business purpose or what? What is your identity? 2.Software Service and staff are so so... nothing memorable. Stayed 3 nights and 4 to go. Few was confident enough to lead the service or say goodmorning or how was your day first or anything you need question. Maybe lack of english speaking skills stopped them except for assistant manager from Indian or Nepal backgraound. Next time I visit Kyoto for business, this hotel is definitely NOT on my list.

Originally booked through a booking website (ikyu.com) but found that the price on the hotel website was cheaper and decided to book on the hotel website instead. It turns out that the price on the price was for one person and we were asked to pay extra upon arrival, making the actual cost higher than the 3rd party website. We inquired about lowest price guarantee but we’re told that the window to make a claim has passed. Firstly, most international hotels normally charge per room and there’s no difference in term of price whether the room is occupied by one person or two persons. Secondly, we were really unhappy that we ended up having to pay more than what we would have paid via 3rd party booking website. The room was new and fine.

Hotel is new, with large room for Japan. Location is close to Tokyo station so convenient . Used restaurant for breakfast, was really disappointed by the lack of services. Coffee machine was not working, request some support nobody cares. Welcome by staff for breakfast who made process complicated 10 mn to get table for at the end tell, me i only have 5 mn before they close breakfast.

I had a great stay at the Mercure. All of my expectations were exceeded: the property, restaurant, etc. But what really impressed me was the service. Everyone I spoke with - from housekeeping to front desk to restaurant staff - was very helpful, kind, courteous and patient with my terrible Japanese language skills. I look forward to my next trip to Kyoto so I can stay here again.

My stay was good, staff was very courteous, also really liked the interiors of the hotel and the room. There was some sound in the room which did wake me up a few times , like an exhaust sound which got loud at intervals, that did disturb my sleep as i am a very light sleeper. But overall i liked the hotel and would consider staying there again. The location according to me was not the best as your away from all entertainment like bars, restaurants, etc , tho of course the station and bus stop are close by. I guess its a matter of preference. Food at the Trattoria was really good, not cheap tho but then again you pay for an over all experience. I enjoyed the food. Another problem i faced was there was no bathtub in the king bed rooms , you have to stay in a twin bed room to enjoy the bathtub which according to me is ridiculous. Its like couples either enjoy the bathtub or enjoy sleeping on the same bed. I think this is something to ponder upon.

Warmly welcome by the staffs on arrival. Hotel is situated at a good location near Kyoto station, very contemporary design with infuse of the Kyoto elements in its decor. The public space and its restaurant are very good area for socialising.

I thought Mercure Kyoto Station is located in front of Kyoto station, 5-6 minutes walk but easy to access. Nice staff, clean room and large bath, thank you.
