Easy check in and accommodated a late check out for me. The area was had a little cafe noise, upto 11pm nothing too disturbing but was quiet after that. It is 3 minutes from the 'Universities' tram stop - T1 line which was great to link up with the metro and Part Dieu train station. 5 mins from the river, it also had a 'U' Supermarket and a Lidl, again just round the corner. The Galley kitchen was sufficient to cook up nice meals (twin hob) and the 'U' supermarket has a great range of easy prep meals (fresh pasta, salads, fresh filled baguettes) if you dont want to do a big cook. The area's downside is that its usually a student zone and has lots of cafe & takeaway options but no real quality restaurants, I has to travel to Croix Rouse, old Lyon or Ballencourt to enjoys the cities culinary delights. Couldn't fault the hotel hotel, no noise from other guests, small efficient lift so I did not have to climb all the stairs, staff were friendly, even the cleaning crew were pleasant and courteous. If I had not seen and experienced all I had planned to do in Lyon on this trip I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Overall, the hotel met our needs. We've never had one with a loft, but it worked out great. The only concern was the air conditioning. It wasn't as cool as we are used to, and France was unusually hot this summer.

The hotel was conveniently located near the University and close to public transportation. There were gluten-free options at breakfast, although I missed some fresh vegetables. The staff was very helpful. Cleanliness can be improved.

Check in was delayed as they had a full hotel the night before so we couldn’t get our key until half 4. However room was really nice and the aircon was amazing with the heat wave. After walking around we realised we were in an unsavoury part of town and ended up cutting our stay short because of it. Breakfast was nice with scrambled / boiled eggs and bacon on offer in addition to cereals and pastries etc. I wouldn’t stay again just because of the location.

We had a good 4-night stay overall, although I honestly expected a bit more from the hotel considering the standards and reviews. When we first arrived, there were no complimentary bottles of water provided in the room, which is something I usually expect from hotels of this level. We also had to request an iron from reception, whereas in most hotels it is already available in the room for convenience. Another issue was with the baby cot. I had already requested it via email about a month before our stay, but unfortunately it was not prepared upon our arrival. I had to personally follow it up again before it was finally provided. Since we were travelling with a young child, this was a bit inconvenient after a long journey. I also noticed that the coffee supplies in the room were not replenished during our stay, which was slightly disappointing. Small details like these can really make a difference to the overall guest experience. On the positive side, the staff were all amazing throughout our stay — very friendly, welcoming, and always polite whenever we needed assistance. Their attitude and customer service definitely made the experience much better. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay, but there are a few areas where the hotel could improve to provide a more complete and comfortable experience for guests.

It was possible to book a suitable room with kitchen for us and our toddler. Reserving a cot via phone call was easy, and the staff nice. Even getting us one extra bed sheet. The library having children books and puzzles were great bonuses for us.

The rooms on the 7th floor were all undergoing renovation and the whole floor smelled like chemicals, paint and was dusty. Our eyes were red from the pollution just after two nights. In addition, the room was in disrepair. I attach photos.

The hotel had all the physical amenities you could want, including laundry facilities, good on-site breakfast, and a well stocked room kitchen. But more than this, it has staff that are friendly, very helpful and simply kind. At a time when so many places provide "contactless check in," this hotel still seems to value the importance of human interaction. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and its staff.
