I had trouble falling asleep before. Once i sat on Mercure's bed, I knew I was in some kind of fancy hotel. I woke up 8 hours after like a baby, my jetlag was gone.

We were given an accessible room even though we didn’t ask for it. The bathroom had no screens and was everytime we used it, it flooded the entire room. The staff did nothing to address it despite our request.

We had a great stay at this hotel, during our recent visit to Lyon. As we arrived by train, the hotel is very conveniently located very close to the train station, making it an easy walk. Though, one of the disadvantages of that is, this means that you're located a bit away from the city centre and most of the places you'd want to visit. Our room was very spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. The hotel also has good dining and bar facilities. We especially enjoyed drinks at the bar, where they had a good selection of drinks and snacks. The one issue we had with our stay was that the air conditioning in the room we got initially started making a loud noise on the second night of our stay. After a bit of fiddling around with the controls to see if the sound would go away, the only option was to switch rooms, and the second room we were given was not as spacious, even though we were told that "it was in the same category". We also learned that some rooms also had the same issue with the loud air conditioning. Overall, we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at this hotel.

I had a single room and it was very comfortable. The bed was the comfiest I think I’ve ever slept in and there was air conditioning so the room was a great temperature. The bathroom was well equipped although I wish there had been an option to have just my towels refreshed without having the linens on the bed changed or anything as it didn’t need it. I loved the addition of a really generously sized fridge for the space. I was able to use it to have cold bottled water as it was very hot weather during my stay. Even though my room looked out on a tram and train line I had very minimal noise disruption and didn’t find it difficult to get to sleep. The staff were super friendly and helpful and on my checkout day they were very pleasant and kept my bag for me whilst I explored the city once more in the morning before leaving for my flight. The only problem I encountered was the breakfast. I had booked to have breakfast every morning but the last morning I just skipped it and had breakfast elsewhere as I had a few unfortunate mornings. The options for breakfast weren’t great. Even though I was down for breakfast quite early some mornings I found that the hot breakfast items such as sausages and bacon were stone cold at 7:30am.

After a long journey I was greeted with the perfect check in. The lady at reception was friendly and was happy to provide useful information. The room was great with a comfortable bed and breakfast was excellent.

The room smelled a bit of the sewer. And the was a lot of low noise from the trains.

Beautiful room. Really good size and complimentary mini bar was pleasing Kinda tricky to find using Google maps and the instructions given weren’t that great. No PowerPoint in the bathroom made things a little tricky There was an issue with payment on the Mercure end wish took a while to be addressed and only after a ticket was raised by end with Accor head office. The staff however were extremely apologetic and handled it well in the end
