I enjoyed my short stay at the Mercure Perrache but the bathroom in my room was really cold. Plus, the bathroom window should have a blind as I felt very exposed when the light was on. The window looks out over a nearby building. There is an old shutter at the bathroom window but it was not working.

We stayed for five nights in February. Lyon has been on our wish list for a while and did not disappoint. The hotel is beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained. There was a wide selection available for breakfast. Although it is located between the railway and bus stations it was quiet inside.

Helpful reception staff, the two girls who ran the bar were excellent and recommended good wine choices, the girls were constantly busy. Our room was lovely, well equipped with an Nespresso machine, and beautiful shower products. BUT the meal in the restaurant outside the bar was awful not French cuisine at all. My Caesar salad was tasteless and not at all like the classic. My husband had an entree which appeared in 5 minutes that comprised of a dried out pastry shell with fish balls, he also ordered for his main a crumbed veal that looked and tasted like it was a frozen meal from the local Super Marche. We had been to Provence and had eaten at a cafe and bar where the food was amazing, traditional French food. So was really disappointed by the food at such a lovely old hotel like the Mercure.

The building is right behind the Perrache station, easy reach from the city centre (10mins walk), the lounge is fancy and the room was spacious and comfortable

I spent two nights in the hotel during the fete des limiares. The hotel is installed in a historical building and rooms are modern and spacious. Breakfast is excellent. The only drawback is the difficulty in finding available parking spaces.

Really liked pictures of the hotel on the website, as it's really stylish and contemporary. In the reality lobby was really nice, the rest was very old - rooms, fitness, entrance, bar. Disappointing - we were waiting 10 minutes outside the entrance door - noone was openening neither answering the phone. That was very frustrating and not even "sorry" after that from the stuff.. No hair conditioner, body lotion etc in the room - usually I am staying in Mercure and know that its always there, that's why never take those things with me. King size bed was made of 2 single beds, placed together - not comfortable to sleep at all. We could hear everything what's happening in the room from the left and right side... We didnt experience difficulties with parking, but our friends called 3 hours in advance to ask for the parking and were told that it is full, even though we've seen free places. After they parked in the street and asked to call them back when parking will be free, and the response was - you should check by yourselves... I think its not customer friendly at all. Will not be staying again.

I liked my stay there. The few things I did not like were minor, like for instance, at breakfast, guests need to prepare their own fried eggs! Original but too complicated as the frying pans are pipping hot, fingers get dirty when breaking the eggs (and there are no wet napkins around to clean your fingers). A Chef should be there to prepare the eggs or the omelettes. The 2 coffee machines absolutely need to have their temperatures adjusted as the coffees are not warm enough.

It’s not a 4-Star Hotel and they do not facilitate as a good 4-hotel should do. Reception was fine. Room was just OKAY, had noises coming in from the nearby highway however bed was comfortable. The shower room was terrible. The tap didn’t work properly and water was too hot that I literally burnt my fingers. There was no water pressure also. In short, my stay was horrific. I have been using accor hotels before and they maintain standards. It’s not even a 3 Star hotel and charging money like its a exceptional hotel.

No assistance with bags and aircon did not work. When we pointed that out réception acknowledged they knew that and we were relocated to another room, also no aircon. I showed my Accor membership card at reception when we arrived but it was ignored, obviously not recognised. We will not be staying with Mecure again

I was in Lyon for 4 nights for a sports activity. I stayed 3 night in the Ibis vaux le velin and 1 night in this Mercure in order to rest and be in the center. My stay in the Ibis was much better. The single room that I had in the Mercure was not good. Poor lighting, no warm water, no heating. However, after I complained the receptionist gave me a better room. He was nice but I wish I was given a good room from the start.
