There were at least more than 10+ flies inside the room when I first entered. I have not opened the windows at all and had no reason to because I saw a fly stuck between two encapsulating windows. There were at least two flies attached to the ceiling (which was white and thus the extra visual impact) and the size of the flies were huge. I could only realize that there were more flies on the walls after killing a couple of the flies. I have requested for a refund at the front desk, yet they told me to come back the next day to have a full confirmation of the refund with the presence of a manager. I thought I was staying at a five star hotel, but they were reluctant to offer any solution on the day of the check in, and was forced to book another hotel next door without any confirmation of a refund. The front desk employee said the manager was not present on the day of the check-in, which does not make sense for a 5 star hotel. When I came back the next day the alleged manager was only briefed of the said issue after I arrived. And I was again informed that the "half" manager had to consult his own manager to offer a refund. He said he was not even sure if this was eligible for a refund. After I had expressed my frustrations and showing them the pictures I took, they told me that they would contact me in the afternoon regarding the eligibility of the refund. They did eventually call me in the afternoon that I would get a refund, but I revisited the hotel for final confirmation. I DO NOT recommend staying at Le Royal hotel if you are looking for a luxurious stay. The amenities and hygiene is of sub-par quality, and the stay next door at Sofitel was way much better. Sofitel was cleaner and more friendly. STAY AWAY FROM LE ROYAL. I will post this review on google and tripadvisor with the pictures.
