The staff is really friendly and attentive, particularly the people from the École Bocuse. There was one particular lady from the Alpes Huez, who was very friendly and very good at the service

Friendly staff, clean, very good location. I could see the metro station out the window. Easily walkable to all shops, restaurants and probably an 8 minute walk to the old town. Comfy beds. The showers were weird and we essentially flooded the bathrooms as they have a half glass wall on the side and then the shower head is in the middle. Housekeeping would come around in the evenings and provide you with chocolate and turn the bed down which was nice.

I stayed here for 5 days from the end of January to the beginning of February. It was my third trip to Lyon and third time staying at one of the your group hotels. This time I chose to be central to Lyon city centre as I needed to be close to downtown and within walking distance of a main station. In general the stay was great and most of the staff were excellent. Unfortunately, I either didn’t catch or have forgotten the names of them but a special mention should go to the receptionist at check in, the two young members of staff who showed me to my room, the housekeeper on my floor (5th) and the whole breakfast team who were extremely professional and looked after me excellently especially as I don’t speak French. However, there were several things about my room that I would like to share. First, the plug in the bathroom sink would not go in the hole properly. The only two options were to let the water run constantly which is a waste or put something under the lever at the back of the tap to keep in the plug in the hole. I did the latter. Perhaps, I should have brought this up during my stay but this should be looked at for future guests and also so as not to waste water. Second, the glass partition between the shower and the bathroom sink was not fixed securely and moved if I touched it. I don’t know if it supposed to be hinged to the wall but it seemed to be unsafe when the whole partition moved away and only stayed attached to the wall. I asked the concierge if the partition was supposed to move and he said yes, however, I still think it should be fixed a little bit more strongly. Please advise me if I am making a wrong assumption and the glass partition is supposed to be hinged and move away for cleaning. Finally, no matter how much or how little water was put in the coffee machine, water leaked from the bottom. Perhaps it was the way I was using the machine but it seems to be strange to have a coffee machine that leaked. There wasn’t a danger in water leaking onto the electric cable or plug but in the end I had a put a towel under the machine to soak up the water. The overall stay was great and the receptionists and breakfast staff were superb but if the latter two issues could be cleared up then the stay would have been even better. One final thing that could have made the last day even better was a small breakfast bag of croissants/fruit/juice/yoghurt instead of just a cup of coffee when I left early after check out. After having paid for breakfast, I would have thought that a hotel of your standard could have provided something a little bit more than a cup of coffee in a paper cup. I hope you can clear up and answer the issues I have raised and that any comments I have made above are taken as ways for you and your hotel in general to improve as a whole.
