The Hotel overlooks a magnificent square in the heart of Lyon’s island. It’s got fantastic character and our room was superb. We didn’t have an evening meal at the hotel but the breakfasts were excellent and set us up for the day. Only one minor complaint - the bar is incredibly (stupidly) expensive so we spent little time there, and when we did it was empty, which is a shame as we like a nightcap or two. Finally all of the staff we came in contact with were incredibly polite and helpful. What a great place.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for four nights, but we visited Leon. It's centrally located on the Peninsula between the two rivers. Walking out the front door and across the street to the right is a role of wonderful restaurants, including the renowned Le Sud Bacuse. The old town is a short walk.

This was my first time visiting Lyon. The hotel was so close to the metro which is important to me as I enjoy using local public transportation. It is also a good walking distance to Old Lyon. I said in one of the red rooms and it was such a nice room. I liked that I had a balcony, it was just too hot to enjoy. However I did appreciate that I could not hear the traffic. I enjoyed the amenities that was provided in the room. Having two bottles of water(still & sparkling) was great to have. I also liked the slippers, I took a pair and will be keeping them in my luggage as my travel slippers. The staff was so nice and friendly. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the property itself was charming, comfortable, and full of character. What made the biggest impression was the outstanding service: everyone was genuinely friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. I felt well taken care of from check-in to departure. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

In no way a 5* hotel - rather 3*. Everything was dark, small, worn out and outdated. Too much annoyance with construction in reception area. No luxury facilities. Aircondition could go no higher than 16,5 degrees (broken). No staff to repair or help at late night (only a young woman that felt hopeless). Close the hotel and open it again when everything works and is updated!

This was not a good stay. The location is great, but that's about it. The room was tired, carpet is worn, stained, furnutre is chipped. The room just looks tired and dated. There is no bar soap. Nothing about the experience seems 5-star to me. I purchased a five-star hotel; I received a 4-star construction site. The first night, no turndown service was provided; the second night, housekeeping knocked on the door, offered me a chocolate from a basket, and she left. That was the turndown. The A/C never cooled very well. I told the hotel 3x. They did nothing about it. They said, "We will send someone to your room." I'm not sure if they ever went; they did not go when I was there. I NEVER received any follow-up from the hotel. I sweat every nighit I was there. I also purchased the "M" experience at an extra price. No one mentioned it at check-in; no follow-up. In the end, it was refunded. But I'd rather have done this than get it refunded. Overall staff was very friendly and nice. But this is not at all a five-star experience in any way, shape, or form!

This hotel is a lovely, old hotel.The room was a good size and comfortable, even during the heat wave. Everyone is nice and friendly. The breakfast is fantastic. It’s a great location, most things are walkable, but also near public transportation. Would definitely stay again.

I am really shocked this is a five-star. I'd have rated it a three-star. The walkway to the stairs / elevator from the lobby is really unacceptable. Felt like everything in the room was old and needed a paint job, every piece of wood was chippy. Hotel needs an entire refurb.
