As usual with McGallery hotels, Le Royal in Lyon exceeded our expectations. The room was beautifully decorated and the huge bed was super comfy. The personnel was attentive, professional and very helpful. The bar, restaurant, lobby were all adorned with beautiful features and furniture. It was a perfect stay in one of the best hotel we have ever stayed in.

Pros: Good location, good service, staff extremely professional and helpful, ease of car drop off/ pick up. We were coming from the coast with a 5 hour drive. It was great to park in front of hotel, have someone show up at the car, carry our luggage and park the car. Efficient checkin and checkout. Rooms were clean. Con: challenging to take shower without water ending up on floor. Coffee maker not obvious on how to use. Someone entered room to make our bed even though sign was on door not to disturb.

We enjoyed our two night stay very much. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Lighting in room was insufficient to read.
