Perfect place to stay during Fetes des Lumieres

The town center is in walking distance. Underground and tram are very close and Perrache is an important public transport junction - easy to get to the center, easy to get to Gare Part Dieu to take Rhonexpress to the airport. The public transpost worked perfectly during Fetes des Lumieres and Perrache was the best choice. In the evenings, whe you want to get to the underground (or at Bellecour, or at Hotel de Ville), direction Perrache was always free, the other direction was very crowded. Stuff in the hotel was friendly and we enjoyed the breakfasts very much.

We booked for 2 weeks but ended up, due to medical issues, a total of 6 weeks. The staff helped us with the change. Housekeeping only came in when we wanted on our timetable. Great. Breakfast times, at first, were unclear but finally understood the correct hours.

Very helpful and professional staff at front desk saved the rating from 3/4. At least three annoying mosquitoes were seeking food at night and disturbing. The shower room stinks making the full experience worse. How is IBIS rated as three star hotel? At most 1 star, to be fair.
