The room you occupied has been entirely renovated 2 years ago and I am sorry to learn that you had the feeling staying in a room that needs renovation. I was not able to sleep because of the sunk mattress (not just soft, too old). The building needs a renovation. Breakfast too basic. Norhing to do wirh the hotel but the sorroundings look like a favela. Good location only if you go to Brasserie Georges or have a train connection at Lyon Perrache station.

Pluses: - The staff - helpful and so friendly and smiling! - Well-functioning air conditioning – a big plus in August. - Good location, close to Metro Line A and tram lines T1 and T2. - Within walking distance of the Confluence area. Minuses: - The breakfasts are tasty, but as a vegetarian, I found the selection very limited. After a few days, it became quite bored. For example just one basic salad in offer. - The Wi-Fi can be very slow on some evenings. - It’s difficult to get a late checkout, probably because the hotel is busy. - It’s quite far from the parts of the city that actually feel like Lyon.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Se the one-liner above. Sparkling water and fresh water by the elevator was awesome. One thing to address - not enough outlets, they have widened and are insecure, and they are several inches off the floor. This makes them impossible to use for foreign travelers with adaptors and computers with bricks. I had to rig a pillow under the desk to keep my computer charged. Can you address this issue?

Hotel and location were good. I had the unfortunate experience of losing my credit card and not being able to get through on the toll-free number that my Canadian bank published, and I sought help at your front desk and the clerk was not at all helpful and was unempathetic. Perhaps some training in that area would be helpful.

Overall I thought this was a good-sized room by Euro standards. The bathroom was very large and even had a tub. Breakfast was pretty basic for the price. Very conveniently located, just a couple of minutes' walk to the Perrache train station and 5-7 mins to the metro, 10 mins to great shops and restaurants. Would stay here again.

The room is modern, clean and efficient. Even North American visitors will find it a normal size but on the small side. The staff are friendly helpful and fluent in English. There is a bar and breakfast area. Also, a water station on the way up to the room that was very welcome during a heat wave. We were located next to Brasserie Georges Lyon, a fine, must do, dining experience. When we first arrived at the Hotel it appeared that we were in a cul-de-sac, far from anything - that is completely wrong. The Hotel is adjacent to one of the largest transit hubs, Perrache Station (busses, trams, subway, trains). Walk north, under the station, and you emerge into a park. Across the park is a pedestrian mall. Walk further and you will find another pedestrian mall filled with great local dining (not to be missed). Walk further and you emerge into the historic Lyon. All are easily reached by transit if you wish to forgo the French city vibe. To the south is a large, modern mall, easily accessible by transit (very handy for replacing the clothes misplaced by the airline). This was a great experience.

I've said it all above. The biggest deficiency is the bath tubs with no bath tub mats or 'no slip' surfaces or grab bars. Very dangerous for aged persons like myself (85years). Was move to a 'shower only' room where the shower floor surface was better but still somewhat slippery and also with no grab bars
