Sofitel is a nice and comfy hotel in the middel of Lyon. Everything is nearby, old Town, shopping, restaurant.

Good location across from the Rhone. Lovely views from the bar and restaurants. Staff was extremely helpful with directions and recommendations.

What an impeccable hotel, ideally located by the river and easy access to the A6. Our room was on a corner, with floor to ceiling windows (that actually opened, unlike in the states!) that gave us an amazing view of the Rhone. Breakfast on the 6th floor again afforded us a stunning view of Lyon, and the buffet was excellent. A huge thank you the staff - from check-in, to the gentleman working the bar in the lobby, to the outgoing concierge who helped us with our rental car, pulling it right up close so we could easily load our luggage. What a perfect stay. The only downside of our visit to the Sofitel was that is was for a single night...wish we could've stayed for a week!
