This is a return to the same hotel after 11 years hiatus. Lovely hotel but getting old and deserves better upkeep.

We spent 7 nights in the Batur Suite in early December 2025. The property is beautiful. Built 40 years ago, it was obviously built with quality and has been well maintained. The Batur suite was a 2 bedroom suite with private plunge pool and Bali day bed. It included 2 bathrooms, living area and walk in closet. The only downside to an older property is the lack of modern power/charging points but the trade off is a charm that modern properties don't provide. The staff were warm and friendly. The food and beverages were of a high quality. We had access to the Palace Club Lounge which faces on to the most incredible internal garden at the property. We were fortunate with the weather in what is Bali's wet season but Nusa Dua is generally the best bet for sunshine at this time of year. This allowed us to enjoy all the resort had to offer including the pools, beach, bikes, tennis and even the virtual golf simulator. All in all a great week away.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here and from the moment we arrived until we departed, we were made to feel very welcome, and we really loved everything about it. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our accommodation was upgraded and it was perfect and the housekeeping staff checked and replenished towels, water etc. sometimes three times a day. Breakfast was such a vast array of food that we could try something different each morning, and the fresh fruit juices were lovely. The various restaurants on site meant we could pick and choose what sort of food we wanted each evening. The highlight was having a six course dinner complete with flowers and wine on the beach, watching the sun go down. It made our anniversary a very special and memorable day. Spending time time relaxing by the pool most days, a massage at the spa, all added to an amazing holiday. We will go back, hopefully in the not too distant future.
