This was our third stay at the Palace Club in this Hotel. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and met all our requirements. Good location to walk to local places such as Bali Collection and provided immediate access to the beach and walking paths. The theme nights provide varied buffets to meet individual need and are well attended. The onsite restaurants are great value if included in your package, but can be expensive if not, due to the 20% tax added; especially on drinks, inclusive of water. The highlight of our trips there, has always been the staff, who cannot do enough to enhance your stay. Many have been there for quite a few years and always appear happy in their work: which goes along way when promoting a positive and caring culture within an organisation. Great place to stay. All staff pleasant and professional. Our only criticism was the all inclusive. We purchased hoping it would enhance our stay. Quite a lot of the drinks were not available and most of the drinks not available in the lobby bar. The only place to get a cocktail was the bar by the beach. When I asked before we got the all inclusive if all drinks and food were included. I understand the premium spirits aren't included and some of the food but you need to look at it as it is not a great deal. Everything else was great but you do need to do something about people putting towels on the beds by the pool. Every morning we went down there were none available all had towels on. Yes I know there were beds on the beach but it's not fair to put towels on beds then not use them till the afternoon if that. The shows were really good.

The location of the resort was breathtaking. The way the pools and restaurants were placed made you feel like you had your own piece of paradise...even though it is actually a large area.
Every restaurant including the show buffets had outstanding food.
*Our first room was so inadequate that it made me cry. We had booked a family room that had 2 separate sleeping areas. But when we walked into the room we realised that they were not really separate at all. In fact, when my husband and I sat in our bed, we could see our 15 year old son in his bed and vice versa because of the mirrored wardrobe door. There was no way to move the door so we could have privacy sleeping.
We also could not get changed without being seen because there was no door on the entrance to the bathroom. The only door was across the toilet / shower. Incredibly impractical. You had to take your clothes and put them on the toilet seat. When you had a shower, you had to be careful not to splash your clothes. Then the space to dry off was literally just a small square in front of the toilet.
This entire area made me cry. The thought of spending 8 nights in that space was so upsetting, my husband had to speak to the manager.
This is when the exceptional customer service became apparent. The next day we were given an upgrade to a proper family area. 2 rooms with an adjoining door. It meant our son had his own bathroom, and could close the door to have privacy whilst showering, sleeping and getting changed.
We were also given a gift and a lovely note. From that day forward, everything was amazing.

In all, we have revisited NDBH&Spa 3 times. From the moment we are met at the airport and driven to the hotel in style, the warm welcome at the Palace Club and throughout the whole hotel (from maintenance crew to senior staff), room service, meals, accommodation - any request at all, they will endeavour to make it a memorable stay. It has: a traditional style of decor with plenty of historical references sprinkled around, set in lush, landscaped gardens (lovely swimming pools as well) right on a spotless stretch of beach, with service available direct to your sunbed if you prefer. It's an ideal place to unwind and we are looking forward to going back for another break in the future.

Rooms need of maintenance and were outdated which was disappointing. Shower floor was extremely slippery, wood rotten, paint flakey, water marks on the roof, poor lighting, poor tv reception. I think it was poor that you charged for bike hire.
Service was good at bars and restaurants. Food was good.
