We were supposed to be staying both our 2 children but it ended up being just us 2 adults. We did get a room near other families as expected. Last time when it was only booked for 2 adults we got a lovely room on a higher floor with an ocean view. This time we were on the first floor facing the lobby roof.

I stayed here for a work trip and made the booking through another platform, however, in the booking confirmation, it advised that payment would be managed by the hotel itself. Towards the end of my stay I went to reception to inquire about the invoice. The man at the counter, upon seeing that I had not booked directly to the hotel then proceeded to speak very rudely with me that he could not issue an invoice as it was booked through another platform. He spoke in a raised voice and was very condescending, that I should book through the hotel directly and that those platforms take their own fees. It made me feel attacked and very uncomfortable. When he finally gave me a chance to speak, I mentioned that I saw only booking confirmation that payment was taken by the hotel directly, he said I must’ve been wrong and he could not do anything. This encounter honestly ruined the whole stay. I think his name was Matt, it happened around dinner time. He is not suitable to be in a customer facing position, if this is how he treats people. I even went back to the booking platform and tried to request an invoice, which connected directly to the hotel, and although they said they would send one through, I have yet to receive anything. If you require an invoice and have not booked directly with the platform, I would not recommend staying here. Otherwise, the rest of the staff were absolutely lovely and I had a pleasant stay.
