Nice venue, I have stayed before in more private room and had a nice stay at that time, but my recent visit was booked in a room directly opposite the elevator. Every time someone used the elevator, the noises would travel right through my room like I was in the elevator with them, all hours of the day. Someone has to have the shitty room opposite the elevator, I understand that, but yeah it absolutely sucked as I chose to stay at Sebel for a relaxing weekend after a mentally exhausting week.

Our Annual Conference was held at Twin Towns -. from the outset the coordination was exemplary, which matched our experience once 'on the ground'. The Twin Towns Team, entirely, are one to be proud of -. they clearly enjoy what they do and aim high to deliver delight to their guests. Yes, the location is spectacular and so convenient with easy access from the Gold Coast airport. But this is not the fallback to rely upon for the Team to relax their game. Genuinely could not be more impressed. The renovations on all the Sebel rooms we experienced are a delight -. while this was a work situation, it felt like relaxation once back in the room.

After arriving a day later than planned due to flight cancellations I was assured our room was prepped and ready for our arrival the next day however on arrival all the paperwork needed printing, the room was changed and we were handed a welcome jar of sweets. We were handled fist full of breakfast vouchers and welcome drinks to the bar that was only open a couple of hours a day for the main hotel. All felt a little lack luster.

This is a brilliant hotel and we've honestly been going for at least 20 years and yes, there have been pluses and minuses if you can be bothered looking at my previous reviews of The Sebel. Booked online through Accord as usual and I never really understood why it takes such a long time to check in, ie we owned a couple of hotels ourselves and I'm sure we checked in folk quicker - especially when they had booked and paid online - so why all the fuss with having to show ID, credit cards, etc. when you've already got the information? The twin room was, as usual, brilliant with the outlook to the beach which is nice: (you can watch all the people not going into Dominoes Pizza place which is a plus. :( Breakfast is, again, fantastic, although I did get there when it was getting cold... but... the ruddy oppo got the brand new hot stuff. :( Into the pool and the sauna and nobody there which is great as they were all sitting in the spa outside. I can see us still being there when we're nearly deid as it's such a brilliant place.
