I had booked 3 nights using my suite upgrades and knew what the price was. On check in I was told that I was being charged the full pricie for the suite. I questioned the pricing, advised I was using a suite upgrade and after a little keyboard tapping they found the correct rate. Just a little embarrassing for me on check in. Breakfast the first morning was a bit of an experience. Not sure is you dont have enough staff or if it was overly busy but the vibe is very "cold". There was certainly no warmth from any of the staff nor was I given any information on what was provided other than getting a menu plonked in front of me. I did flag down a male staff member who sort of seemed o be in some sort of supervisory role but from what he was wearing it was hard to tell if he in fact was staff. The food was ok but when I was finished I was given a bill for my breakfast. I told the young lady my breakfast should be included. She asked for my room number and disappeared. A few minutes later a second young lady came over and again asked for my rom number and said "ok thats fine" However, when I got my final bill there was a charge from Lito for $105.93 which I thought was pretty high for a green bowl, 1 x coffee and 1x juice. I had to take the time to email the hotel to get the charge removed and my card refunded. This happened within a couple of days which was appreciated but shouldn't have happened from the beginning.

The intial imressions were good. A welcome underground an secure Car Park despite being an additional charge was welcome. The room was well appointed but had clearly not been prepped for arrival and had not been properly restocked with guest items since the departure of the revious guest. There was no turndown service given either. I left these critisms with the front desk who assured me I would hear from customer service. I have not heard from anyone since.

Overall the staff were all excellent. Knoweldgeable positive and friendly...the opposite of smilebots we've encountered elsewhere. The eating and social areas were alive without being so loud that you couldn't converse. Food was all good quality. Room was excellent with an awesome view (we were upgraded). The only downside was a few persistent flies in the downstairs restaurant on the afternoon Valentine's dinch we enjoyed. The staff were professional and did their best to take care of the issue.

Wasn’t really a 5* experience hotel. Arrived and was directed to self parking to have to buzz security. Asked for me details as a guest and registration of the vehicle to get in (which is fine). Licence plate recognition wouldn’t let us out and had to buzz again. Asked for all my details over again. Come back in, same process again. Left, seemed to let us out of the carpark. Coming back in again, same process over again only this time I got an email to confirm my “booking”. I wouldn’t expect to need to make a separate booking prior to arrival for a 5* Hotel. And then to have to repeat the process 4 times just to get in and out isn’t a premium experience. Our booking was also overcharged. I asked at checkin why I was overcharged after I realised and was told oh it’s the GST, I questioned that as we are in Australia and you can’t quote pricing excluding GST and that would have equated to $110 not the $320 over charge. I was told they would get it sorted. By checkout I asked again, was told they would follow it up and email me the invoice once it was fixed. I had to pay for parking, and I requested that it reduce the refund. It didn’t, and was subsequently charged the additional. I also found it odd to fully pay for the booking upfront and the room wasn’t even ready. Again not really a 5* experience. I then got the invoice later that day, no resolution, just the additional charge for parking. I replied back with my booking confirmation and invoice and it was promptly resolved by the duty manager, however, it shouldn’t have taken 3 requests for something that shouldn’t have happened to start with. Overall, I didn’t find the hotel worth the premium price (circa $700 a night), and service is where it lets you down.
