Friendly and welcoming reception. Large room, nice and spacious for a family or 4-5. Unfortunately the furniture throughout is knocked about and needs replacing. Balcony was extremely dirty, sliding doors and tracks haven't been cleaned in a long time. Balcony furniture very worn out. No doona/quilt on the bed, just a sheet and the blanket found in the wardrobe was dirty, so that was not pleasant in winter. Parking was easy, good location close to the beach and restaurants, just a shame about the room itself, otherwise a good property with good facilities including pool, gym, theatre and tennis court.

Great spot and views. Well appointed rooms and clean.

We came here for a short stay to enjoy the facilities. We found the room to be dirty and even though we were on the 10th floor really noisy. We tried to cook dinner but someone had turned the oven and stovetop fuses off. Once this was sorted by maintenance there were no baking trays so we had to cook roast veggies and chicken nuggets for the kids in frying pans. The clock didnt work. But WORST of all the indoor pool and cinema were closed which was not noted on the website and the whole reason we went there. We then thought we would at least play tennis only to go to reception and it was closed for the rest of the weekend (from lunchtime Saturday). We had only arrived Friday night and had plans Saturday morning. I also had to pay $15 to purchase internet as there were no good channels available and it was so bad (2 bars in most areas, 3 if you moved around) that the buffering was constant and we only used a few minutes and hot spotted off another phone instead as it was much better. I have been an accor member a long time and this was the most disappointing stay ever.

When we first arrived we were placed in a unit on the 12th floor. No bedding had been supplied for the 5th guest - because apparently you still have to ask for bedding, even though 5 people have been booked. Bugs all around the kitchen. I could almost live with this but then when my son and his girlfriend were making up their bed we found the most disgusting and stained blankets. Totally not acceptable. We asked for another room, which was supplied and was much better, although once again we had to ask for extra bedding for sofa bed and even then the blankets that came up from house keeping were not great (stains). I also got down and cleaned the kitchen floor and all kitchen surfaces. Was very surprised by how dirty the floor was. Then after 3-4 days the ranch slider fell out on to the concrete balcony area and smashed. Once again we were reallocated to another room. This one was smaller and we had to ask for a roller bed once we realised there wasn't enough beds (I thought this would have been worked out by staff when they most definitely knew we were accommodating 5 guests). No blankets - just sheets supplied. Kindly with toiletries, but no towel for the 5th guest. Walls knocked and marked. Tired and unappealing. I don't consider myself an unreasonable person, but this whole experience was just a joke. I definitely won't be returning. Great location only

Room Disappointment

I am a frequent guest at Mantra resorts and normally am not been disappointed, thus why we choose Mantra as our first choice in accommodation. On this occasion, We had a group booking of 10 apartments. Firstly, I booked a 3 bedroom ocean view apartment the same as several others in our group. We all paid the same. What I was allocated was the same as the two bedroom apartment bookings, only difference, I had two beds put in a tiny "study room" (no window). Compared to the other 3 bedroom apartments, this was clearly not the same. This was also VERY different to the photos shown on your website. My apartment also had VERY limited ocean view where everyone else, including those who didn't pay for ocean view actually had more view than what we had. Second, the room cleanliness was disappointing as well. The beds were made with a bottom sheet and top sheet only! Nothing like the lovely made beds in your photos. I have Never stayed in an apartment any where in the world that only has a bed made with just two sheets. There was a blanket in the cupboard. It was clear that it was pre used by the way it was thrown in the cupboard. When we got it out, it was disgusting with many soil marks. It was late so we did without the blanket and I addressed this with front desk the next morning, still by evening it hadn't been replaced. On our way out to dinner I addressed this at reception. The girl was disinterested and did not apologise, I felt like I was an inconvenience. The blanket was replaced by the time we got back from dinner. The carpets need a good clean, the cook wear was worn and overall We were disappointed. This group booking is an annual family reunion and the feeling of all in our group is we would not book again at this resort.

For our units that have not been recently refurbished they still should be well appointed, clean and in good working order and this appears to have not been provided to you from your review. The room was dirty the blind fell down the sink in the bathroom took 10 to 15 min to drain the exorst fan in the bathroom didn’t work the Teflon on the fry pan was damaged and we had to clean the mugs before we could use them

We are looking forward to staying at Mantra every year. Unfortunately, this year We were really disappointed with unpleasant experience. We lost our stuff after room cleaning. We asked front staff that they took it by mistake and she said she asked the cleaning company but first staff didn't do it and also didn't take over about it to the next staff. Because they work in shift. I explained it again. I got an answer couple days later not next day. It was just they didn't have it but they said they were going to follow up on this so I was waiting for good news. But I've never heard anything at all since then. So I asked the cleaning company directly, because it seemed Mantra staff didn't take this seriously. It was just shirt but the most important things is how work hard about it as anconcierge. I thought Mantra is a big company so they train staff very well but it's not. I felt you wanted to avoid responsibility each other. The staff sait to me ''It's White shirt" so what?? It doesn't matter which color was. We were still saying the room, they had to be more careful than empty rooms. When we checked out they didn't asked us about it at all, if they find the shirt what should they do. That means they were not going to follow up on this. I was so sad because that was your customer service. You should revise your customer manual.

Always worry about room, can be very hot or miss. Really we only stay because the pool area is great. The beds are uncomfortable and the linen and blankets are very old.

We became aware that the apartment next to us - 1006 - was much better in relation to the seaview and had new fittings. Beautiful. We stayed for two weeks and thought we would get a really nice apartment. We use the second bedroom due to snoring etc. but the adjacent bathroom was very tiny. The blinds in main bedroom need to be fitted properly & actually need replacing as they are worn. Also worn carpet with old stains. Not fresh and modern as we had hoped. We do not wish our feedback to be p.

Accommodation was very very good and staff were excellent. Only problem is the base of bed is quite sharp and protrudes some distance from the mattress. Due to the position of a chest of drawers along the northern wall there is limited space between the bed and the chest of drawers. As my wife walked past the base of the bed (northern side) she banged her shin on the sharp protruding corner of the bed base, sustaining a cut and pretty bad bruising and swelling (is still swollen and black 7 days later). I would recommend changing the bed base to something that does not have a sharp, laminated corner that protrudes out as much. Was reported to management who gave us a late checkout (happened as we were packing up) and some ice to apply to the injury.

Great location pity about the state of the room

The price that I paid was extremely high for the standard of the room that I was staying in. The carpet was stained in several places the room has a terrible smell. The state of the blinds were poor. The air conditioning did not work properly. The leather lounge was really worn and needed replacing. I would rate the room 1 star standard. The carpark was full of water and also smelled mouldy as there was no airflow. I can assure you I will never stay here again and I would recommend if you have a booking to cancel it an move somewhere else. I have never stayed in a Mantra property that was in the state this one was. You should be ashamed Mantra for putting your name to this property. Be aware that we had a 3 bedroom unit and the 3rd room looks like it was added by the owner as it did not have a window and the air con didn’t really flow there. It had a floor fan to cool it down. It was the same size as a 2 bedroom unit except it had a wall thrown to make the supposed 3rd room

Subsequent to this a full unit inspection was completed on the apartment with a forward plan put in place to not only rectify the issues you have advised but to make sure that all rooms are checked to ensure that our high quality levels are maintained at all times. We apologise regarding the flooding to the car park area. Unfortunately at the time of your stay, poor weather was apparent and a leak occurred into the car park. Stayed a couple of nights for business. Hotel is close to beach, shops, restaurants, Tram network and Casino. Room was spacious and balcony view at night was great.

The hotel is in a great location. The pool was lovely. The bathrooms nice and clean. Other than those couple of good points the room we stayed in needs a little bit of tlc. When we walked into the room there was a stale smell in the air. The lounge room has a leather looking couch that is very worn out. The lining on the bottom of the arm chairs and also the main bed was deteriorated and hanging down. The arm chairs had stains on them from peoples feet. In some places the carpet was worn out down to threads. In the kitchen, the cupboard where the bin is. On the tiles in front of the cupboard there was dirty marks from the previous guest. Like when you put a tea bag in the bin and the tea bag drips. The glass table on the balcony had mould on the table top. The windows need a good clean. And the glass panels on the balcony. And there was a dirty bandaid in the wardrobe. We were staying for a family weekend away. I don’t think we will stay there again.

read the above about staff on desks. Light bulbs are out , filthy behind washing machine for instance. walls damaged behind bed ends. Hasn't been cleaned under beds for months. Very noisy at night as a result of no double glazing.

Outdated and rundown, not worth the money for a penthouse

We found the penthouse extremely out-dated and rundown. There were no locks on the doors of the bathrooms and the door in the main bedroom didn't stay closed. Stains on carpet, food on carpet that had not been vacuumed and no toiletries in 2 other bathrooms. No teatowels and no starter pack for dishwashing detergent ect. I am extremely dissatisfied with the money paid for the penthouse with poverty pack inclusions.
