We had a lovely stay in a 2 bedroom penthouse. The view from the 15th floor was wonderful and the apartment was clean and I found the bed comfortable. We all enjoyed the mini golf and being able to walk to the restaurants in the service club without leaving the building (very safe when travelling with teenagers). Would highly recommend the breakfast in the restaurant down stairs. Especially enjoyed the pancakes cooked fresh when you order. Would like to see coconut yoghurt on offer for those who are lactose intolerant. The staff were mostly friendly especially in the restaurant. However, we didn't have a friendly welcome at check in, it was very robot like and the man didn't smile or wasn't engaging whatsoever ... I know his name and if you wish to call me I can provide the name of the staff member.

We chose Mantra Cooloongatta for a short stay to celebrate our 41st Wedding Anniversary. Initially, our first experience at the pool was a bit offputting because of the 10 or so 12 year boys who were dive bombing and making a lot of noise. Other than that we had an enjoyable stay and would come back again.

Room keys/card didn't work after 1 night. Got stuck in lift due to this and bad to wait until someone else got on. Long wait for lifts each day, check in on day of arrival was slow, long line up.....then long wait for lifts.

We always enjoy staying at Mantra Twin Towns, and this was actually our second stay there in recent months, having chosen it over other accommodation options. The facilities are great, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is fantastic. Unfortunately, this stay was let down by the bedding. There was no proper blanket provided in the room; instead, we had what I can only describe as a small lounge-style throw blanket. Thankfully, there were another two of these folded in the cupboard, which we were able to use. However, even with all three, we found it difficult to get comfortable and unfortunately did not sleep well. When we mentioned this to a staff member upon departure, we were advised that this is now the standard in the Mantra building. We were also told that the Sebel building does provide proper blankets, although the rooms are smaller and more suited to shorter stays. We personally prefer the Mantra rooms because we value having the kitchen facilities, so moving to the Sebel isn’t really an ideal alternative for us. It was disappointing to find that something as basic as a proper blanket has been removed from what we would otherwise consider a comfortable and somewhat luxurious stay. For a three-night stay, rather than just an overnight visit, having a comfortable night’s sleep is particularly important. We still enjoy Mantra Twin Towns and would happily consider staying again, but we do hope the bedding situation is reconsidered. This was the main reason we couldn’t rate our overall experience as perfect this time.

We stayed at the mantra twin towns to play lawn bowls at club tweed. The location was perfect as it was only approximately 15 minutes walk to the bowls club. A major issue on arrival is the lifts. Only one was working which made waiting to go up to your room a time challenge. It got slightly better over the next few days with the other lift becoming operational. The other big issue is the room cleaning. It’s a completely hit or miss when cleaning the bathroom. There are days where the toilet wasn’t properly cleaned, or in other days towels are missing or the shower area not wiped dry. So a bit challenging stay for us overall.

I was very disappointed to find that I was allocated a special needs room - low bench top, lack of vanity space, hospital like bathroom for my 4 night getaway. Manager was quite patronising when I asked if an alternative room was available - he touched my shoulder and stated “you did only book last week” - I am not sure why that matters or how it is even relevant?! I didn’t book special needs and at the very least I should have been told upon checkin as a matter of courtesy. I was grateful that I was able to change rooms on night 2 but this only happened after the manager made me feel like I was unreasonable for even asking.

Your hotel is a great place to stay and location is fantastic. I stayed here many times over the past 20 years but haven't for a few years as I like the Calypso across the road as a better location (however their beds aren't great). I have returned to your hotel as part of the Accor experience and benefits. However, here are my small grievances: 1. Bed - I have stayed in a few Mantra's and your hotel had the worst bedding, hard and uncomfortable and pillows were, below par. I would like the same experience at all Mantra Hotels and expected that there would be a standard purchase of nice beds across the groups? 2. Towels - soft and lovely and left amazing amounts of lint all over your body, in your hair etc. I have not experienced this problem ever before so it was unusual. It was a little funny when staff are plucking lint from the back of your head before a meeting! Here are the awesome things: 1. Still a good location 2. Clean and well presented 3. Apartment was spacious and balcony view amazing with awesome sunset
