Mantra Coolangatta Beach 4 stars

My wife, Sue, and I stayed at Mantra Coolangatta 7 - 16 Aug incl. The reason for staying was to be close to John Flynn Hospital, Tugun, where Sue had a surgical procedure on 12 Aug. we were booked to leave the hotel on 17 Aug, Sue’s intended day of discharge from hospital, but the doctor released her on the 16th and said for us to go straight home. Thus we checked out one day early. I applied to the reservations lady (Beth) at Coolangatta for a refund of the 16th accommodation charge and sent her my bank details on 17th for the refund. As yet (24th) I have not received it. I am aware of your cancellation policy, but as I am a Mantra Plus member and have used Mantra Hotels for many years, I would like to think loyalty would count towards a favourable decision to grant us a refund for the 16th. Found our apartment perfect for our 3 day stay. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. This was our 2nd stay and will definitely be back

Good location and nice room with great ocean views. Wifi reception was very poor and kept dropping out. Overall experience was very good.

Good spot nice room, was some work being done on a room close to us on Monday an Tuesday an was a lot of noise would of been nice to of got a heads up about it happing

Great location, amazing staff. However my room was very run down, Warn carpet, paint/plaster falling off some doors and walls.

This is one of our favorite destinations for a deluxe holiday experience at an affordable price.

All round great experience friendly staff good rooms

where do i start. Walking into the apartment you are greeted with what looks like its clean and its not. There was dirt behind the front door and near the fridge. The 2 smallish rooms had 2 single beds and you couldn't move around them at all. The queen bed was 2 singles pushed together and one was broken. Wife hardly slept because of it and couldn't sleep on the couch. If advertising that the apartment has a queen size bed make sure it is a queen and not two single beds pushed together. The washing machine didn't work properly no matter what you did. The couches were uncomfortable and should be replaced. The cushions were disguisting and needed a good wash. The table and benches needed to be cleaned and there was rotten milk in the fridge. The milk expired in January 2020. One of the rooms smelt like some one smoked weed in it. For the price its not worth it. We have stay longer in other places for less then what we paid for at mantra for 2 nights. Other places are extremely clean compared to here. We won't recommend mantra to any one we know. Very disappointed. Only thing going for it is the view we had and how close it was to the beach. The apartment was small and not suited to 6 people. Its more a 4 people family apartment. Showers could use a proper clean especially in the corners and drains.

Great location, great staff. Some patrons were a bit silly with the whole covid thing but thats about it

Had so much fun

I would have liked there to be a better clean before we got there, especially in these times. I cleaned off marks around the glass door handles and near a light switch. Also we had a toilet and shower seat delivered which you said would be in the room when we arrived. However we had to ask for it and it took about an hour to arrive, I don't know if that was your fault for the hire company but it is important that these things are there as advised.

Good stay. First time. Good location. Room quality was satisfactory but getting a bit shabby. Art work faded. Furniture looking lived in. Bathrooms dated. Beds were against wardrobes. Beds were made up with sheets but no doonas/duvets even though it was winter. We found a few blankets and bedspreads in the cupboards but probably needed more. Some balcony doors wouldn’t open. Empty alcohol bottles on one balcony. Small amount of glassware- perhaps there have been breakages and some restocking required.

Excellent, we needed a break and a couple of days was not enough but did the "trick" Coolangatta is our place on the Gold Coast !!
