Loved the location, fantastic gardens and our proximity to the wonderful pool area could not have been better. We felt very secure there and found our apartment extremely quiet despite the nearby construction.

We have stayed here a few times. Facilities are excellent, great place tostay with children. However, both times the rooms are definitely not cleaned properly...its a quick whip over of the floors, new sheets and your in. Our walls where filthy, especially around the toilet, other guests food and belongings left in draws etc, food under the beds etc

Excellent location, Great pools

Family holiday. We have been staying at this property since it first opened (at least 10 times)and it is our go location for our Gold Coast holidays. The pools and outdoor facilities are excellent and a recent upgrade of outdoor furniture is a welcome change. The pool lounges a very comfortable. Whilst the outdoor areas a highly rated, the rooms are tired and in need of an upgrade. Our room had paint that was cracking, there was no ceiling fan in the third bedroom, we had to purchase one as it was too hot to sleep without one, sealant was missing from the ensuite shower, the bath was stained and chipped, living room blinds were stained not sure from what, fry pans were old and dirty. We didn’t receive the weekly clean as stared during our 10 night stay.

Loved the location and swimming/BBQ facilities. Room 125 was very dated which honestly didn't bother us, but the beds were ridiculous. We had to buy toppers so we could sleep on them. I don't understand this as it's probably one of the biggest selling points for people away from home. If you can't sleep well you don't enjoy your days as much which is what happened with us unfortunately.

The accomm and pool are lovely but unfortunately there are 3 high rise buildings under construction which means clanging and tradie yelling from 6am every morning.

The staff were friendly and the pool was great. However had I’d known the air conditioning wouldn’t work overnight I wouldn’t have booked to stay there. Also the microwave was broken and had to be replaced. Both of these things are very inconvenient when travelling with a 9 month old. I would have expected better for the price we paid.

This is our second time staying here.We stayed 7 nights in a 2 bedroom. Was clean on arrival with nice comfy beds. Very dated but still spacious. There could of been more kitchen crockery and utensils. Resort is so perfect for families with young children and everything you need is at walking distance or the tram is close by. Would definitely stay here again!

The resort was good, good location and loved the rock pool areas. The unit itself was disappointing considering the price. Dated decor, stained and shabby furniture, lacking kitchen utensils and cutlery. There is also a lot of construction happening in the area resulting in a lot of noise disturbance throughout the day. We booked for 5 nights but left after 4. We did not get off to the best start with this holiday as the unit we had originally booked with several months prior cancelled our reservation 3 weeks out stating a ‘system error’ leading to a double booking which sounded quite dubious as the borders had reopened! Luckily I called the resort directly and they had one unit available for the date.

Hi Alan, I am soerry to hear that you had issues with your original booking, which i am assuming was via an outside agent or AirBNB. I am pleased we were able to get you into the resort, but am sorry to read that you did not have the most enjoyable stay. Our pricing here at BreakFree Diamond Beach is dynamic, so the pricing over holidays is higher, as well as booking last minute when there is limited availability. I believe these two factors would have been the key reason the rates would have been so high, as outside of holiday periods you can generally stay here for around $150 per night. As you raised, unfortuntely we do have a number of construction sites near the resort, thankfully most of these will be complete by May this year. The start was a bit troublesome as the number give for unit wasn’t the one we were staying in and I disturb other guest. The ground floor unit was perfect for us with young children.

Location is very good, close to shops and restaurants. The lagoon pools are fantastic and the garden area very pleasant, but could be better looked after. The first disappointment was that I reserved two 2-bedroom apartments for my family expecting they would be close to each other. However they were not on the same building. Apt 167 was on the 3rd floor of one building and apt 144 was on the 2nd floor of another building. The second disappointment was that I paid extra to have 2 "Deluxe" apartments with air conditioning, but in reality the aircon was only in the lounge rooms; the bedrooms had no air conditioners. Luckily the nights we spent there were not too hot. Now for constructive comments: both apartments were clean. Apt 167 furniture and carpets were old and worn out, but it had a DVD player and a Nespresso coffee machine that did not exist in apt 144. which seemed to had been recently refurbished. The bed sheets and coverlets of 144 appeared to be brand new; the towels, however, were not so white. A small missing detail was that the shower of the social bathroom had no soap tray. Another was that we were not able to connect the TV to the internet and there was no cable TV channels that we could see. Summing all up, we had a good time, but I don't think the apartments qualify as "DeLuxe" and justify the higher price.

Dear Emilo, Thank you for providing feedback from your stay on Apartment 144 and 167 at BreakFree Diamond Beach Resort. BreakFree owns the management rights to Diamond Beach Resort, which means all of the apartments are individually owned which can cause some slight variations in what is offered in the apartments such as coffee machine etc. At BreakFree Diamond Beach, our "deluxe apartment" simply means the apartment has had an upgrade to the Kitchen and Bathroom facilities, as our other apartments still have original Kitchens and Bathrooms. It is a standard across all of the apartments in the resort that they only have the 1x AC Unit which is located in the loungeroom. Ceiling fans can be located throughout. This offering is inline with our economy scale branding, BreakFree. I would like to thank you for providing details on various maintenance requirements within the rooms, i have passed this onto my maintenance team for actioning. Great location and pool .We were there for 4 nights 2 nights we had loud music once till 2am we rang after hours and they said there was nothing they could do. Also our ceiling fans were not working

Good location and fun for kids and families around the pools but the apartment itself is in dire need of refurbishment. The carpets are smelly and worn, the bathrooms all need maintenance as the tap fittings were lose. The small toaster handle was broken and it would have been much better if the bedroom upstairs had air conditioning

The apartment was dirty and not well maintained. There was mould in the bathrooms, the air vents were filthy, the dishes and cutlery were all dirty which was not surprising as the dishwasher had a spoon stuck in the filter. The dishwasher top rack was also broken. The floors including the balcony were very dirty. One of the beds had two broken legs which made it difficult to sleep in. We found pieces of glass throughout the dishes in the pantry which my daughter cut her finger on!

The best pool facilities for all ages. The resort is in a prime position, close to everything in broadbeach. Some of the unit furniture needs updating, but other than that we had the best time at diamond beach resort. This was our 4th year in a row staying over new years.
