Fairmont Hanoi is a new hotel and it truly impressed us. Everything about it feels luxurious. The staff were so helpful and even upgraded our room, which was a lovely surprise. We had access to the Fairmont Gold lounge and really enjoyed the evening canapés and cocktails. Breakfast was extensive and delicious, with something for everyone. The cleaning team and room service were amazing throughout our stay. We also tried the spa and the rooftop pool, both fantastic ways to relax after exploring the city. A superb addition to Hanoi's luxury hotels and one we'd happily return to.

Every team made us feel genuinely welcomed—from Reservations, Concierge, (Jimmy specially) Front Desk, and Housekeeping to the wonderful team at Bocca Restaurant, where breakfast became one of our favorite parts of each morning. Our room was even more beautiful than we imagined, and the fresh flowers waiting for us made it feel extra special.
My daughter and I especially loved spending time together at the rooftop infinity pool, creating memories we'll always treasure.

My stay at Fairmont Hanoi was extremely unsatisfactory. There were numerous times during my stay that I was denied entry to the hotel and the use of amenities included in my booking, due to another "more important" guest. If I had known that I would be treated in this way, I never would have chosen to stay at Fairmont.
I was required to pass my person and belongings through security each time I entered the hotel and was even made to wait in the pouring rain, because another "more important" guest was entering at the same time. I was physically blocked by a security guard that was not associated with Fairmont when I attempted to enter the hotel. It was unclear who was security staff and who was associated with Fairmont. The staff not only did not provide advanced notice of these inconveniences but were rude and unaccommodating when I raised my disappointment. Moreover, when I tried using the bathhouse included in my booking, I was told that I would not be able to access it until several hours later, due to a private event.
Time and time again, Fairmont made me feel as if I was inferior to other guests.
I will not be staying here again and will be warning others about this very disappointing experience.

The room was new and amazing, the toiletries, the welcome with local fruit, and the cleaning were excellent, including the evening arrangements in the room. The most impressive spa and gym area I have seen in a city hotel and includes an experience of several saunas and hot pools. The dining room and breakfast are excellent and include excellent Western food alongside meticulous local dishes in a buffet and a la carte menu.

The staff was always very polite and helpful during our entire 13 night stay! Gold Lounge Staff was also very friendly and always willing to engage in polite conversation.
The General Manager ,Francois ,was also from Canada and took the time to chat at as well and give us some tips on daytime excursions. I want to thank Lizzie for arranging for us to stay in our room until 9 pm as our flight wasn't leaving until 11pm. Another director , Patrick who was from Salzburg advised on The Kneipe Brewhouse ,a German Restaurant which turned out to be very delicious.
The Bath house facilites were exceptional, from Saunas and steam room to jacuzzis and full length lap pool. Not to mention the rooftop pool overlooking the famous Hoàn Kiếm Lake.

I really enjoyed my stay at Fairmont Hanoi. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean, and the hotel was beautifully decorated with an elegant and luxurious atmosphere. I especially loved the sauna and meditation programme. The location is also excellent, close to the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing the high standard of service expected from a five-star hotel. Breakfast was also very good.
The only aspect that could be improved is the design of the bathroom taps. The round handles were very difficult to turn when my hands were wet or covered in soap. I had to dry my hands with a tissue before turning on the water, then wash my hands again and clean the handles afterwards. This sometimes caused water to collect around the sink and drip onto the floor. For a five-star hotel, easier-to-use handles or lever taps would provide a more convenient and practical experience for guests.
