Lovely hotel with awesome staff.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by smiling people everywhere...front door, lobby area, front desk...they seemed genuinely happy to see us. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We especially loved the restaurant staff! They were very kind and attentive and the food was fantastic. The "Chocolate Buffet" every afternoon was "to die for"! We used the gym during our stay and couldn't believe how lovely the Ladies' Locker Room was...WOW! We loved it at this hotel and hated to leave after 3 nights. We did a lot of walking around Hanoi during these 3 days and it was so nice to be greeted at the door upon our return and to have such a comfy room to rest and rejuvenate in before going out again for more sightseeing. We will definitely recommend the Movenpick Hotel Hanoi to everyone! Thank you for a great experience!

Strengths You staff are very customer focussed, in particular the following: 1. Dinh Quang Hieu 2. Tran Thanh Huyen 3. Pham Hong Thang 4. Nguyen Van Chinh 5. Nguyen Song Nhat Minh The above named staff went out of their way to assist us and was very patient! Gym equipment well maintained and staff very friendly. Weaknesses Hotel bathroom - the stone seat in the shower area was not clean as it is obvious the grout is dirty and yellow. Bath towels - had to ask for bath towels on my first checkin as it was not present. Would have expected such a premium hotel chain to have checklists to ensure that no items are missed in the guest rooms and areas. Bills issued for Accor member - I had requested my Accor Classic membership to be included on checkin on my two stays from 29 Jan 2020 - 1 February 2020 and then again on 2 February 2020 - 5 February 2020. However I note that I did not receive any Accor points even though Movenpick is part of Accor chain. I had booked directly with Movenpick online. When I wrote to Accor to add points for my two stays they advised that the bill/receipt issued was not itemised and so could not add points for my stays. I find this disturbing as surely I qualify for Accor points and the bill/receipt supplied should comply with the Accor itemised billing requirements! Very disappointing.
