Everything was great. Hotel was very clean and the room was fantastic.
I have Celiac disease so I need to eat a strict gluten free diet. The ONLY real complaint or comment I have about my stay was from the breakfast buffet. On the 3rd day (after already having eaten there 2 other times), I noticed a piece of bread in the bottom of the bacon serving dish. Since even the slightest cross contamination can be a problem for me, this was a real concern. Luckily I didn’t end up getting sick but it was definitely something I’d love to see improved, either allergen markings on the placards or removal of things like this from the buffet.
The location was great and extremely walkable for great food, sightseeing, shopping, and exploring. I was able to walk to most attractions pretty easily and never felt unsafe while doing so either.
I stayed here while in Hanoi for work and I would happily stay again in the future if I need to return. The staff was extremely nice and helpful at all times and made my stay that much better! Planning my trip to Hanoi was stressful given my dietary restrictions but staying here was a no brainer for me.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel but it’s was not the iconic experience we hoped it would be.
Room was great to look at but impractical ( heritage wing ) huge minibar and nowhere to leave luggage and clothes
Pool area was not cleared down once guest had left so that food and drinks were left in tables and it looked very uncared for.
Noisy room with t’ai chi at 5am in the park opposite so we were woken up each morning

She made a wonderful first impression during check-in by sharing the hotel’s rich 125-year history, clarifying my Amazon/eero benefits, and giving a comprehensive overview of the facilities, restaurants, and gym. She also seamlessly arranged my bunker tour and spa treatment. Later, when an urgent meeting forced me to shorten my trip, she handled my sudden schedule change with incredible flexibility and kindly offered to arrange my airport transfer.
Abby (Spice Garden): Abby went above and beyond explaining the menu and recommending the 125th-anniversary special cocktail, "A Mark of Time – Le Jardin 1996"—which was outstanding! She also greeted me the following morning and helped navigate breakfast effortlessly.
