The rate for the Twin room felt somewhat higher than expected for a 5-star standard. The twin beds were also a bit small; it might be more comfortable if they could be combined into a larger bed. In addition, the service for members could be more attentive. I was also a bit unclear about why my previous stays were not credited with points, even after checking with the front desk. Based on this experience, I may reconsider this hotel for future trips.

Five stars all the way for the Grand Mercure Hanoi! The rooms are well over and above what we expected—incredibly high-end, and the bathroom is absolutely amazing. One of our absolute favorite parts of the stay was the balcony. It was the perfect spot to sit out with a morning coffee and watch the busy, vibrant streets of Hanoi buzzing below from a great vantage point. The rooftop amenities are next-level. The rooftop bar has a fantastic atmosphere, and the pool overlooking the city skyline is incredibly cool. Location-wise, you couldn't ask for anything better—the hotel is situated in a perfect spot, smack bang in the middle of all the action. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the incredible hospitality. The staff are so helpful and attentive; they will quickly resolve any issue that pops up and genuinely just want to make sure you have a pleasant, memorable experience. We had an unforgettable stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi!
