Just one night at the hotel without breakfast so we could not have much description, but we can have advantage of the location - at the center, nearby taxi station - and are happy with the available facility provided by the hotel. Friendly staffs also bring us the warm atmosphere during our stay.

Close to attractions, friendly staff who really wanted to help make our stay wonderful. We were treated with fruit cake, balloons and flowers in the room which was a lovely surprise for our honeymoon. I would have liked our room to have been properly cleaned (there were areas where there was dust). In the breakfast section there was very little selection for food compared to other 4 star hotels in Europe and the pastry was quite hard (despite hem being fresh) due to staying under those hot lamps for too long. Eggs were the main source of protein and we could not order more than 2 eggs per person (my husband asked for 3 and received 2). Because of limited language skills, evey time we ordered eggs with something in them (like cheese or pepper) there would be at least an ingredient missing from what we ordered. The juices were very nice and fresh. I think if your staff had the opportunity to learn and practice English more, this would make a better experience for your customers. We could clearly see that everyone working in your hotel is very welcoming, nice, polite and wants to help.

The hotel was lovely and we were very happy with the room. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. We understand that changes were made to cater for the current situation with COVID-19 but the food advertised in the modified breakfast wasn’t always available.

Stayed 3 nights as part of a self-organised tour of Vietnam. Good location, especially for walking to Train Street, and an easy taxi ride or longer walk to the lake and old quarter. Room was not huge, but had everything we needed and was well appointed. Breakfast was delicious, the conservatory area was lovely to sit in and a nice touch having books to borrow. We had two evening meals in the hotel which we enjoyed, and found the portions large and very good value. Thank you for the Anniversary/Birthday cake and decorations too!

Good location can walk to other places and eazy to find yummy local food, staffs are very friendly and good at English, I'd like to thank a room cleaner staff I stay during 2nd till 7th Mar 2020 , my room number is 408 and the second day I mistaken put my very personal cloth on the toilet floor and the room cleaner put it in the proper place for me, really appreciate that for the good concern and very good care of guest's personal cloth, the room very clean, sure when I come to Hanoi I will come back this hotel again, thanks for your good services

Good location within walking distance of offices and some restaurants. staff have been excellent in accommodating requests. I would suggest more variety for the buffet breakfast but note that those served tasted good. Also suggest considering including a bidet in the bathromm.

It felt a bit impersonal. The other hotels on our trip just seemed friendlier and more welcoming. It wasn’t the staffs fault but the leaflet in the bedroom referred to a happy hour, but when we went to the bar it had been discontinued. This sort of thing lacks detail by Mercure.
