I would like to share my feedback regarding the invoice issuance for my recent stay. During the booking and check-in process, I had clearly communicated that this was a business trip and requested a company (VAT) invoice. After noticing the issue, I proactively contacted your team to request an adjustment. Unfortunately, the resolution process proposed was rather complicated and required multiple internal confirmations from our company. In particular, the request that the document must be signed by the highest representative of our company according to Mercure’s internal procedures is not reasonable from a customer perspective. From my point of view, when the issue originates from the service provider’s side, the corrective actions should be handled internally rather than requiring the customer to go through additional internal approval procedures — especially escalating the matter to the General Director level just to reissue a correct company invoice. I have stayed at Mercure several times before and generally appreciated the service. However, the initial handling of this matter unfortunately created an uncomfortable experience.

We had a pleasant stay overall and were satisfied with the hotel. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was great too. The only small downside for us was that the windows couldn’t be opened at all, so it was difficult to get some fresh air into the room. Aside from that, everything was good and we enjoyed our stay.
