We would however like to clarify one point concerning your reservation. The Family Rate does not include guaranteed connecting rooms. Instead, it provides a 50% discount on the second room, as clearly stated in the booking confirmation you received. While we always do our best to accommodate requests for connecting rooms whenever availability allows, they cannot be guaranteed under this rate. We regret that we were unable to fulfill your preference on this occasion and apologize for any disappointment this caused. Well located for a visit to Verseilles but failed on a number of basic issues. We are in our late seventies but we were given a room with an ill fitting door that could only be closed with a massive slam. The staff always seemed distracted, whether on the front desk or at meal times. We only ate there once as the food was so awful, there was very little choice and the Chicken Supreme had lukewarm rice and overcooked and dry chicken with no real sauce. We subsequently went to a local restaurant, which was good and noticed that a lot of other guests were there too. I am a regular user of Ibis but I cannot recommend this hotel.
