We stayed in a balcony room. While tight in space was more spacious than the most recent reviews said. There was a hot water kettle and an espresso machine in our room. No smell. Not a lot of noise especially front so close to Versailles. Quick and easy walk to Versailles. Great breakfast. Housekeeping was good as well. Balcony was super spacious. We kept window open and still wasn’t too loud. Places to eat right next door. We also went to notre dame area where lots of shops and eating places. Very walkable. Close to a supermarket too. Monoplex or something like that.

The room I got was extremely tiny (just for one person, I don't want to imagine for a couple) and full of old furniture. You don't have any isolation and you can here EVERYTHING from your neighbours and from the hallway. Even more, I had mold in the shower and each time when you want to take a shower you end up flooding the bathroom. Unfortunately this is only the beginning. At the end of my stay they withdrew the payment for the stay twice. Although the money were taken from my account once, at the beginning, they charged again in the last day. When situation was explained to the receptionist nothing could have been done. What she was doing was: talking to the kitchen staff who was cleaning the breakfast area complaining why I don't want to leave (in all this time she was not aware that I am capable to understand what she was saying). She insisted that her manager will come on Monday and I have to wait. She was not capable to give me a valid explanation. After one hour I contacted my bank and the solution was very simple. Because the amount of money is high (~1000 euros) the hotel had to acknowledge that one of the transactions can be canceled. I wrote an email to them and got back to the reception where there was a couple with the same issue and the receptionist said the same thing: "we don't charge customers like this". NOT TRUE I HAD TO LEAVE FRANCE AND MY BANK ACCOUNT WAS ON MINUS BECAUSE OF THEM She didn't even wanted to open my email and started to talk again to the kitchen staff. I had to ask her to call her manager. Very, very, very slow she found the number in one of her files and called. No answer... I insisted again. She acted in the same way. Talked to the guy from the kitchen again, search the number through the files and still no answer from the manager. When I saw how slow she was moving I started to talk with her in French and she got now angry. I couldn't understand with her anymore and left after 2 lost hours in total. I called 2 times the Accor Support but even they couldn't get any answer from the hotel. Now, after 8 days since I lost my money I still didn't them back. Worst experience I ever had with a hotel!

The room I got was dirty, tiny and full of old furniture. Except the bed, which looked quite new, everything was dated. Given the fact that it is an Ibis Hotel, the expectations were quite low, so I would have let it be, but the biggest problem was customer service. The reception withdrew the payment for the stay twice. Although this was noticed at the reception, nothing could have been done, because "none of the managers is available" and "we don't charge customers like this" (while showing the receptionist the account withdrawn twice from my account). After 2 calls with Accor Support, an eMail sent to the reception and 2 hours spent at the reception, I still didn't get my money back. I am sure this will be solved at one point and mistakes can happen. It is just the way I am unable to get anyone to really help which is disturbing. Worst service I have ever gotten in a hotel!

Music too loud

Terrible nights because of a night club next to the hotel. The music was too loud to sleep. I requested another room but the hotel was full. I don’t understand why the hotel is giving clients rooms that are so close to that night club even though they know the problem for a long time. Bad service, I don’t recommend staying there.
