Hotel is basic with small rooms. Bed is very comfortable. The bathroom looked tired but there were signs saying the bathrooms are being refurbished so that will help. Only 1 power socket in the room is disappointing. Breakfast was good. It's great to see a hotel reusing furnishings - several items had tags giving the location their former life!

I stayed at the hotel on 2 separate nights. Sunday 20 and Tuesday 22 October. The staff are always super friendly. To be honest the rooms were a bit mixed. On Sunday 20, the experience was not so nice. Room 14 was very small, only one useable plug socket and the curtain seemed to be permanently closed to block a not very nice view. On the second night, my room was good size and absolutely fine (room 38). Unfortunately I also had on both nights mosquitos in the room and got bitten a few times! But the breakfast was good as was the brasserie which took over from the breakfast room later in the day. I do rather like the hotel because of the location and friendliness, but it does need a bit more TLC in a couple of areas.
