Once I eventually found the hotel, and this was not without difficulty given the lack of effective signage, the reception staff were pleasant and helpful and the room adequate

On arrival, after travelling overnight, we arrived at hotel to find no option of early check in. When we eventually got to our room, we saw a bathroom that was untidy, with hardly any showergel left in the shower

Not really a hotel. Accessed via a restaurant. Grubby bathroom. Beds were clean and the kids had a great bunk bed (double at the bottom, single at the top!)
