Very close to Gare Flanders, the room was clean, small but adequate for 2 or 3 days. There was a small bar seating area downstairs and seats in reception which is something often missing from a budget hotel and we found this very useful. The simple Restaurant looked ok too although we did not eat there. Why hotels rarely put hooks on the wall for coats I can never understand and Ibis too have neglected this convenience but a minor point.

I choose this hotel for the location as I travelled by train, and needed a room early in the afternoon. Unfortunately room was not ready at 1PM (should be noon...) so no choice to leave my bag / change and go for my planned Saturday activities. Then hotel called me back at 7 if I was still coming, looks like communication between the staff was not done either. This was not a cheap room for only a night stay of 6H as I had another train super early on Sunday. Not a big deal at all but quite disappointed that it looks like solo traveller are not the priority. I think it is a pb of staff, you need more people to prepare the room on time, the front desk were nice and tried to help so I do not fire on them. This on an upper level to hire more people and pay them maybe better on week end when hotel is full.

Staff were friendly, location was great for our reasons of staying in Lille (event over the weekend at the Zenith De Lille). Short walk from the center and food courts so would also be a great place to stay for visiting the city center. The score is lowered as the rooms could do with some renovation. Things like stain marks on furniture, mattress or walls are a big put off for me and something I would expect from Ibis budget hotel rooms which this is not. The air-con was also dusty showing that some corners were cut during cleaning, but the room itself appeared clean. Other than that the stay was great and I can recommend the hotel.
