Very basic hotel. No kettle, fridge or safe in the room. A net curtain or blind would be nice for privacy. Room small. The staff were friendly and the breakfast adequate. Parking a bonus but £20 euros a night

Concernant les équipements en chambre, notre établissement propose une offre volontairement simple et fonctionnelle, en cohérence avec notre positionnement. Cela explique l’absence de certains équipements tels que la bouilloire, le réfrigérateur ou le coffre-fort. Vos remarques sur l’éclairage, le nombre de serviettes ainsi que les équipements de confort ont néanmoins été transmises à nos équipes afin d’évaluer les points d’amélioration possibles. S’agissant de l’environnement extérieur, nous comprenons votre ressenti. L’hôtel est situé en centre-ville, dans un quartier vivant et très fréquenté, notamment en période de forte affluence comme le marché de Noël. Nous restons toutefois attentifs à la perception de sécurité de nos clients et travaillons en lien avec les acteurs locaux pour maintenir un cadre accueillant. Nous vous remercions d’avoir souligné les atouts de notre établissement, notamment le parking, la localisation centrale à proximité d’Eurolille et du marché de Noël, ainsi que la qualité du petit-déjeuner. Votre remarque concernant le café a été partagée avec nos équipes restauration. We arrived late afternoon having travelled all day. The lady receptionist was very unwelcoming as though we were an inconvenience to her. Little eye contact and no pleasantries. The bedroom was on the 4 th floor and very basic. The beds had mattress toppers which tended to slide around and were not particularly comfortable. We decided to leave the next morning even though we were booked in for 2 nights.

Very close to Gare Flanders, the room was clean, small but adequate for 2 or 3 days. There was a small bar seating area downstairs and seats in reception which is something often missing from a budget hotel and we found this very useful. The simple Restaurant looked ok too although we did not eat there. Why hotels rarely put hooks on the wall for coats I can never understand and Ibis too have neglected this convenience but a minor point.
