The room was basic as expected but there were several drawbacks that made the stay a bit unpleasant. The elevator was out of order, the room did not warm up well being poorly insulated. On the 3rd floor in the morning it is like a herd of elephants is above you since the breakfast room is on the 4th. Overall we will not return as this is below Ibis standards.

We had a fantastic stay at ibis Lille Centre Grand-Place. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, just steps from the Grand Place, Old Town, shops, restaurants, and transport links. It made exploring Lille effortless, whether during the day or in the evening. The room was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed, with a very comfortable bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. Despite being so central, there was no street noise. The bathroom was modern and spotless, and everything felt well-maintained. Lovely that the windows opened too. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with local recommendations. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money: simple, reliable comfort in a prime location. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lille.
