I booked two hotels within this group for our two days in São Paulo. This Novotel São Paulo Jardins hotel was more expensive than the Mercure Sao Paulo Pamplona, so I naturally had higher expectations, especially given that it is advertised as a 4‑star property. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was a major let‑down. The curtains were extremely dusty — when opening them, dust visibly came off onto my hands. After getting off a long flight, the last thing you want to do is complain or go through the process of changing rooms, so this was especially frustrating. Overall, it fell short of what I would expect at this price and standard, particularly in comparison to the Mercure Sao Paulo Pamplona hotel in the same group, the Mercure was far more clean and comfortable. I also did an online check-in but once I got to the hotel had to re-do everything again in person which was time consuming.

no sound insulation at all, i could hear everything in the hall, and everything in the walls. i could hear when neighbours took a shower. terrible stay.

A good location in a safe and nice area within walking distance of the Paulista, close to a number of good restaurants. The hotel room I found clean and comfortable and the facilities were fine.

The location was great for our purposes, close to good bars and restaurants and coffeeshops, and I felt safe walking around in the area. The breakfast was fantastic - truly above and beyond for the price. The employees were kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, although there were some areas that weren't thoroughly cleaned. I wish they had a self-fill filtered water station in another place (like the lobby) as well as the top floor. I didn't get a chance to swim or to work out but I liked that they have a pool and a gym. The half-day extra charge for early check-in seems a bit excessive but I understand charging something for it. Overall we had a great stay.
