We did you enjoy the stay as the hotel was really new with very good environment. However, even I prepaid for my stay, the staff at the reception was trying to charge me full price for the room again without confirmation luckily I noticed the number on the machine. When we checked out the hotel the following morning, I was charged by city tax for two persons based on my daughter is only 10 years old. I had never been charged in Paris for city tax for a child. So do remind the customers to pay attention when you get charged.

Many hotels globally are adopting sustainability efforts with no impact on service or hospitality. This is not the case at Tribe Pantin, where housekeeping will not enter your room at all, unless you hang the 'clean' sign at the door (this was not communicated). On my 2nd day I realised this, so on my way out for the evening, I asked reception for some clean coffee mugs and refill pods. I was asked to wait and carry the mugs up to my room despite being on my way out (they only offered me 1 refill pod). On my 3rd day I hung the 'clean' sign. I returned from work, and thankfully the beds were made, towels were changed (despite me hanging them up to indicate I don't require them changed, though I don't mind)... and oddly the dirty coffee mugs from Day 1 were left behind, and coffee pods were still not refilled. So I approached the kind housekeeping staff who offered me a non-coffee pod, but said I'll have to go to the reception for actual coffee. These are minor complaints and inconveniences (first world problems really), but one of the reasons people choose to stay in hotels is to be able to get on with daily work and activities without having to fuss over small details that hotels are meant to take care of. The room was comfortable enough and air conditioning was working, so other than that I am happy to have a safe place to stay. However the hotel cannot pride themselves as 4-star if they are cutting back on services such as basic cleaning, changing coffee mugs and providing coffee and tea in the room, or having 24-hour housekeeping staff employed, in the name of sustainability.

The room wasn’t even ready at 6pm ! The only good this was the space of the bedroom . Hands soap empty , water bottle empty . The next day I let them know that I broke a glass and that we need cleaning since we extended our stay. I came back at 10pm , cleaning wasn’t done , broken glass still on the floor, uncleaned towels still in the room ! The late shift host actually came to help with new towel and a vacuum to help. The day hosts didn’t even bother to ask if everything went well. No room service either and the bar close to early! + : Alexandra from the restaurant is a joy!
