Good: + wood floors. + openable window. + quiet and clean room. + good lighting choices in the room, especially for winding down at night the bedside lamps are not too bright and not harsh. + self-service detox water jug at the lobby that I could use myself without asking staff. Could be improved, for the price paid of 200 EUR per night: - The elevator has very harsh bright cool light, which is uncomfortable for the eyes. - The bathroom had zero hooks for towels. It should have at least one. - Would prefer to be also able to get pure (unflavoured) filtered water myself at the lobby, so that I don't have to wait for the staff every time to help me fill my bottle.

We stayed in room 229 and it was quite spacious considering that Paris is known for smaller hotel room. However there was little mosquitos flying about and so couldn’t open the window for fresh air worrying that we would get more. The hotel always seemed busy in the lobby with people working in laptops and in evenings had some kind of entertainment. Hotel is close to RER E train line and also metro 5 about 7 minute walking distance so continent to get to central Paris. The room lacked the things I’d usually expect from a four star established such as dressing gowns and slippers, little sets you find in bathrooms like the cotton buds etc. also would of been good to have a suitcase stool or bench for the room.

The hotel looks great, the breakfast is tasty and various enought, but there is a major problem with noise level in the garden, unfortunately. The speakers in the garden located too close the windows of the rooms on -1 floor, so the music disturbs the sleep very much. The music was loud even at 12 a.m. so I had to walked to the reception (there also was no info about how to dial them by phone) where I was said that they will try to make in quieter but can't promise me anything. Also I was told that I had to wait for a long time. After 40 min of waiting I asked again and they managed to shut down the light and music in the garden. Unfortunately at 7 am they turned on the mucis again and I was forced to wake up and wasn't able to sleep again because music was too loud. In addition there was some problem with their system so they bothered me three times during the breakfast when they can't find my name in the system to check if I was allowed to have a breakfast. This is such a shame because I liked the hotel very much when I checked-in. But my mood was ruined for a whole day after I wake up at Tribe Pantin.

New hotel - easy to reach from Gare du Nord. Rooms well appointed with Nespresso machine, kettle and soundproofing. Rooms not especially large but ok for two. Daily housekeeping. Will stay here again on my next Paris visit in October. Room had double bed instead of twin as booked but this was very quickly rectified by housekeeping. To improve - front desk could be friendlier and try to accomodate my room request for high floor - was allocated room on ground floor.

The biggest highlight that controls your stay is the air conditioning and noise control. According to staff when they came up to my room, it was working as they put their hand up to the vent to feel the soft and I mean very soft air output was to be working, My room was at night 25°c 1st day and 27°C the 2nd day. The air conditioning and windows at the Tribe a la Défense where I stayed with the group was excellent The second issue is the noise from outside. With windows closed and curtains shut at all time, the sound was like the windows were open telling me the quality of the windows were very poor and most being the cause to the rooms being hot. The bed, bathroom, coffee service, water bottle and access to water in the hallway was impressive. The staff in itself were very friendly and accommodating As to why there was such a price difference on day 1 vs day 2 I do not know. I booked based on price 1 that I saw on the website
