Overall an enjoyable stay. The staff were excellent, helpful and caring and the hotel is very well priced compared with more central locations, whilst it is just over the road from the Philharmonie and only 30 minutes on the adjacent Metro to most of the central Paris attractions. For a Mercure hotel, I felt it needed a spruce up, the bedrooms were rather "tired" and basically equipped. Otherwise on the third floor, sleep quality was good, not so great if you are above the restaurant on the first floor. Breakfast was excellent , with a good supply of fresh ground coffee from the machines and both continental and a limited "English" (scrambled eggs & Bacon), plenty of fresh fruit and pastries. Unfortunately the breakfast room was rather cold and oddly only had patio heaters, mostly not working, despite being in doors!

Friendly and polite staff, convenient location near the metro station but in a rather scruffy neighborhood (especially in the late evening). Room was OK and cleaned daily but some restauration work is needed to feel like a 4-star hotel (e.g. dirty bathroom tiles, clogged tub pipes, damaged window frames). Bedding and linen needs renewing as they look old (but clean) and the mattress/pillows were rather uncomfortable.

Do not get fool by 4 Star Hotel, its no way 4 Star. Even in Breakfast, there were very few limited items.

Reception were not friendly or inviting and for the most part, would ignore making eye contact. Room was very hot, air conditioner did not work. Building is run down with visible repairs needed. Bar fridge handle was missing. Breakfast menu was very disappointing, staff kept re arranging the food without wearing gloves and hands were dripping wet.
