Luigi A. Families - Confirmed reviews ALL

We arrived on the evening of Saturday, May 23rd, at 11:00 PM. We encountered a long line at the reception desk for check-in, with only one person managing everything, with guests waiting for amenities like sheets and pillows. It was a family trip and we had booked a room for four. We were assigned a room with the room number and door code written on a piece of paper. We opened the door and found that the room was already occupied by five half-naked twenty-year-old girls. We returned to reception and the poor man told us that the previous colleague hadn't registered the room. Meanwhile, the girls arrived to complain because their code no longer worked. They were given the same piece of paper with the same code that had been given to us. We were assigned two rooms for two because the four-person rooms were no longer available. This was an inconvenience for us because with a two-year-old child, we would have preferred to all be together. Given what had happened, my wife specifically asked that the room change be properly recorded in the system and that a note be left for the new person when the shift changed. At 4:00 AM, the fire alarm went off. It was obviously a false alarm. The firefighters also arrived. That morning, Sunday, May 24th, we went to breakfast, which was included, and were asked for our room number. One of the two rooms hadn't been registered. We explained what had happened again and again asked for it to be noted somewhere. During breakfast, the fire alarm went off again. No firefighters this time. On Sunday evening, we returned to the room at 7:00 PM asking for information on a nearby place to eat, but were given incorrect information. While we were in the room, the person who had assigned us the room entered without knocking because they had no record of the room being registered. It was the same person. Our friends arrived at the hotel later and their code no longer opened the door to their room. They went to the desk thinking the room had been reassigned, but the problem was that the door buttons stuck when pressed. The next morning, Monday, May 25th, we went for breakfast. They asked us for our room numbers, and everything seemed fine. When we were about to leave the hotel at 10:00 AM, we went to the desk to tell them which rooms we were leaving and were told again that one of the two rooms wasn't registered. At this point, and only then did my wife protest more vehemently and was told to calm down because "it's not my fault if the person who was there before me made some mistakes." Throughout all this, there was always a diary open on the desk, which I assume is there to hand over the reins. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was decent (not great). Everyone who worked at the front desk on May 23rd, 24th, and 25th should be fired immediately.

Room very clean and comfortable beds. Even next to the lift it was a quiet room at night . Staff when we interacted were friendly and helpful and English speaking which was kind. Only downside- room 301 the allocated family room we were given. The accessible room- which wasn’t what we booked, but fine. It was tired and dated decor - nothing like the website pictures , must be awaiting a renovation? No tea or coffee or amenities other than towels provided. Area is generally quiet outside and directly onto canal side for lovely evening walks . 10-15 min walk to Hoche metro taking you straight into central Paris .

Dear Rachel R., Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay at our hotel. We are pleased to hear that you found your room clean, comfortable, and quiet, as well as our staff friendly and accommodating. Your positive remarks about the location are also appreciated, as we strive to provide our guests with enjoyable experiences. We acknowledge your concerns regarding the decor and the amenities in your allocated room. While we aim to ensure that all our accommodations meet our guests' expectations, it is important to note that room assignments can occasionally differ based on availability. We also appreciate your understanding in this instance. Your comments regarding the decor and amenities will be taken into consideration as we continue to enhance our services and facilities. Thank you once again for your valuable insights, and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Best regards, ibis budget Paris Porte de Pantin
