The hotel is in a very convenient location for visiting Paris. However, I was disappointed with the lack of communication regarding facilities that were unavailable or under repair during my stay. When I arrived, I discovered that the elevator was out of service and under repair. Unfortunately, this information was not communicated in advance and was only apparent once I reached the hotel lobby. In addition, I booked a room with early check-in. However, the front desk was not prepared to accommodate this request. Although I arrived at around 11:00 AM, my room was not ready until approximately 2:30 PM, which was the standard check-in time. As a result, I had to wait several hours despite having paid for early check-in. I hope you will consider improving communication with guests regarding facility issues and ensuring that services such as early check-in are delivered as promised

We stayed at the Mercure Paris Montparnasse Pasteur from 10 to 13 July 2026 and were disappointed with several aspects of our stay. I deliberately chose and paid a premium for a **Superior room with Eiffel Tower view**. Upon arrival, we were informed that all elevators were under maintenance. The staff told us that our suite was on the 8th floor. They said they could bring the suitcases up using their luggage service (available from 8:00 to 23:00), but we would have to walk up to the 8th floor ourselves with our two children. They casually mentioned that “everyone does it without problems”. After some negotiation, they finally agreed to move us to a room on the first floor. However, we completely lost the Eiffel Tower view we had booked and paid for. The hotel did not reduce the price at all. The only compensation offered was two complimentary breakfasts. In addition, the room description clearly stated that the minibar included complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. Despite asking several times at the reception, this service was never provided during our stay. We selected this hotel specifically for the view and expected the amenities described. Unfortunately, neither was delivered. This significantly spoiled our first days in Paris.
