Mercure Paris Montparnasse Pasteur is a laid-back hotel in central Paris, uniquely themed around the famous scientist Louis Pasteur. Our refurbished rooms are great for your business or family stays. Being close to Montparnasse train station, the Porte de Versailles metro and the city's main sights, it should become a firm favorite. It's a special place that will make you feel right at home.

When we arrived, we were greeted by a stale smell in the lobby. We checked in hoping for more, but the rooms were EXTRA small for a family of 4. We had 2 adjoining rooms. When we got in the ACs in both rooms and phones were not working. The manager Faustine was AMAZING in helping us move to a family room. There also the AC was just blowing cool air but the room was still warm, the fridge was broken, there were flies in the room. Our room key stopped working. In all our experience was very bad except for the amazing customer service from the manager. We are actually checking out and losing money tomorrow. We were actually ready to leave immediately. After flying 10hrs, this was not the experience we expected. After two trips to France in 2019, we had decided to make Mercure our go to hotel chain for future stays but this stay has changed our minds. Per previous complaint the AC was not blowing out cold air so after not being able to sleep until 1 am my husband turned it off and then turned it back on. After an hour of finally getting the room cool, water started leaking from the AC unit. Needless to say we had to turned the AC off. We were not able to really rest and were up by 630 because the room was too warm

Overall good. Some few tweaks here and there to maybe improve. Hard to find the parking and the reception. Room was quite small for the baby bed while our friend who was alone had a larger room. Receptionist quite helpful. Lovely bath products. Nicely refurbished.
