Baggio A. A. Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

I am disappointed with my stay at this hotel due to several cleanliness and maintenance issues that significantly impacted the experience. The room was not properly cleaned upon arrival. The bed sheets appeared not to have been changed, and the coffee mugs provided in the room had visible coffee stains before they were even used. One of the towels also had a brown stain on it, which raised serious concerns about housekeeping standards. In addition, room service failed to clean the room on one of the days of our stay, which was frustrating and inconvenient. The biggest issue, however, was the air conditioning. During a heatwave, the A/C was not functioning properly, leaving the room uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. This made it difficult to rest and significantly affected our overall comfort. While the staff were generally polite and tried to help as much as possible, the combination of poor cleanliness, inconsistent housekeeping, and the lack of a working air conditioning system fell well below the standard I would expect from a 4-star hotel in Paris. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property based on my experience.

Lady at reception eating and talking with food in her mouth. Twice. No sparkling water available to purchase. Poor English. Remote location.

Upon our arrival, during a heatwave, we reported that the ventilation in our room was not working at all. No action was taken to correct the fault during our stay, except to open the window and provide a fan. We checked out 5 days later, still not working, I assume the next guest will have the same problem. The hotel staff were sympathetic but clearly were not empowered or capbable of initiating repairs.

Spent a week at this quiet and cozy place, well located, near all useful bus stops. The staff is very friendly, and the manager, Caroline, is just amazing! She was able to solve a number of problems caused by confusion in the system. Although the hotel could use some renovation and the elevator (we travelled with a wheel-chaired person) should be upgraded, we enjoyed our stay there. Complimentary tea and coffee, as well as filtered and gas water to take to the room, at the reception were always great, and the staff, as already mentioned, was super welcoming. Merci beacoup pour tout !

We thought our room very decent, but couldn't understand the design that didn't include and extended section like a shower door to keep water from bouncing onto the floor. The shower head had to be pointing into the faucet corner for shower stall, which meant to shower one had to stay rather crunched up hear the wall, and or point the shower head towards the corner or wall. This was the only way to keep from pouring water on the floor. It was uncomfortable and a stupid design to simply save money over functionality. I have nothing but nice things to say about desk staff. They are your best asset. Georgina is great, the young man who checked us in was very nice, but first had us in the wrong level of room, but fixed the situation first thing. We appreciated the water kettle and some teas in our room. The young man who checked us out when we left was very nice too. Unfortunately, for Accor to categorize this hotel as a Mercure in Montparnasse proper is a stretch and misleading. It is a far walk to the Gare, but we worked out on the 95 bus system which was very helpful. I don't think Accor should advertise the hotel's location as Mercure Pasteur and Montparnasse which they do. It's the Pasteur neighborhood, and even a good walk the Pasteur Metro Station from the hotel. The Pasteur neighborhood BORDERS ON Montparnasse but isn't Montparnasse.
