The man at the reception on the day of check-in was unfriendly, and although according to the terms of my Silver status I was entitled to choose a drink, he only allowed me to take one tomato juice, even though I wanted an apple cider and it was available in the fridge. There was also a strong unpleasant smell of urine in the toilet and bathroom. Slippers were not provided either. The room was very cold and not heated, even though it was quite cold outside. On the positive side, the lady at the reception kindly lent me an umbrella when it was raining.

First, I walked to the wrong hotel - there is another Ibis near the gare. But the receptionist there on Rue de Maine was helpful, gave me directions and called ahead and let them know I was on my way. Secondly, I thought the room was very small, even for Paris, and basic for the price point.
