The room served its purpose, but unfortunately, there was a noticeable mouldy smell when we arrived. There were also marks on some of the furniture, including the sofa and lounge area, and the shower room showed signs of mould. The shower had a swinging glass door with no seal underneath, which caused water to leak across the bathroom floor. I initially thought we had booked an accessible room, but the staff confirmed that we had not. Even so, the bathroom setup did not seem very practical, and we ended up using several towels to stop the water from spreading. The staff were helpful when we raised our questions, which we appreciated. However, the room and its facilities were below the standard I expected for the price paid. Overall, it was adequate for a short stay, but for a leisure trip, I would consider staying elsewhere.

Every time we had a shower the water would totally flood the whole bathroom, it was a slipping danger, particularly for people in their mid 70's. The staff were well aware of the problem and just passed it off, the cleaning staff told us it had been like that for over 5 months. At the end of our stay my husband had an episode during surgery and we needed to stay another night but they told us they were completely booked out. When I questioned about the room we were in they said someone had been given the room. I complained about the idea they would give an unsafe room to another person they came back with half day credit for the stay. I then had to get my son to drive down from Gympie to take me home and return me the next day.

Wasn’t impressed while the bed was comfortable there was no milk for coffee I could call the reception if the phone sent me to them or they answered Though this was a special needs room the shower curtain didn’t go all way around it to the floor to avoid excessive splash and water on the floor. The drain was insufficient or blocked and due to the poor angle of the tiles the water spread right across the floor causing a slip hazard

It is a convenient place to stay when dealing with medical issues. While the room is satisfactory & clean the bed is comfortable with plenty of room the bathroom is always awkward. The shower screen configuration is not sealed & causes flooding to the rest of the room.

I stayed with my partner as we were attending a conference in the building. I read the average reviews beforehand but decided to book anyway, for convenience. The first room smelt strongly of mould and had visible mould on the bed and the curtains. We asked for a different room immediately. The second room smelt less strongly of mould and we couldn’t see any visible mould in the room. The mould smell grew if you turned the air con off at all. The bathroom was really disgusting and needs a thorough clean or a complete renovation. The ventilation in the rooms is insufficient which unfortunately has caused the mould issue. If you can brave the mould problem, the bed was comfortable and the TV casting system worked. The staff were pleasant enough.

I had emailed earlier in the week to request an upgrade but hadn’t received a reply so was disappointed a that. Upon check-in we were given a slight upgrade from level 3 to level 3. The room was comfy and quiet, however I’m used to being offered room 302 and paying the difference. Not this time.
