Bathroom exhaust fan inoperative, causing room to gog up during showere. Severe leak in shower door at the pivot joint as there is no seal and water just pours through. TV very hard to use, did not use.

Firstly, being an Accor member I expected to get a room that had views of the water.....not the carpark. Secondly, the bathroom was not the cleanest - there was some mould in the shower area and the design of the shower is not the best. Water went everywhere! The TV was difficult to work out - I couldn't watch normal channels. I don't think the remote matched with the TV. And lastly, there are signs about there being water stations on each floor, depicting there to be "pure" water. With the water station on level 3, the cold water didn't work - I could only get ambient water which tasted like it was normal tap water and not filtered or otherwise at all.

The floor was wet and all they could offer me was towels to put on the carpet. It was like they knew it was wet in the bedroom. There was no bathrobes in the room like advertised and the toilet door did not shut!

This hotel is about 400m from the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH). When a new baby was arriving, having a room at Mercure was incredibly convenient and helpful for the family. After many stays here I can highly recommend this hotel.

We were booked for a week. We had 2 babies booked, we had to ask for a cot and it had no mattress, we had to use pillows and a Donna as a mattress. The curtains in the lounge are are torn and falling down, not good with little ones having to sleep in a room you can't make dark. We only had one breakfast bowl, there where no bowls for mixing or to put a salad in. The toilet system leaked constantly (not very water conscious). Besides this the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were pleasant.
