We stayed 2 nights bed ok but un fortunately the room was not great , sitting on the lounge we could see the dust under the bed and my husband got the broom and there were several item s left by previous guests Lounge had a tear in it , air con did not work properly and was smelly as it had not been turned on for a while. The bed had a sheet only with a bedspread on the end and only a single blanket in the wardrobe

The location of the resort is great, rooms are great size. However, the pool was badly maintained, it was green with visible algae on the sides of the pool wall and stairs.

Annoying that the lift was our of order when having to .carry luggage up several flights of stairs. I knew this was a possibility when booking, but could have been confirmed at reception when checking in. Air con didn't seem to work. TV was difficult to operate. Bathroom is outdated and shower recess sealant had visible mould.

The rooms were clean, the staff were kind and the facilities were perfect. Having 2 heated pools, 2 spas and a lagoon pool makes it perfect to stay in summer and winter

Young man at reception was very helpful. Elevators were being repaired, which was not the hotels fault, but still made it a bit difficult to get to the room. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Compliments to the cleaning staff.

Overall the stay was brilliant. Great location, lovely staff, probably the best checkin I've had for a long time. The resort is a relaxed, chilled environment that is in such a great spot. Easy access to the beach, coffee, food and drinks. The apartment was bright, had all the creature comforts... individually owned apartments, so styled differently. Again, overall, great stay

Great location. Decent sized 2bed apartment. Good amenities. Clean. Friendly front desk staff. A bit on the older side, could do with a freshen up.

We had a very comfortable stay. Our 1 bedroom unit was good in the end, however I booked and deliberately extra for a pool view room. On arriving we were told we had a fantastic room ground floor apartment with a courtyard. On arriving at the room the view was of four concrete walls. We requested a change and it was given. Also as a platinum Accor member all we got was 2 small bottles of water and no upgrade. While it was a nice stay was a bit disappointed.

However, we're sorry the initial room allocated didn't match what was booked, and that the view fell short of expectations, we're glad this was resolved once raised with our team. Easy booking experience and check in. We stayed in the Bondai Tower and the room was clean and well supplied. It was a little hard to find things within the buildings. The stairs were not clearly marked. When we first arrived the elevator was being serviced, and trying to locate the stairs was a case of trial and error trying various doors marked "Fire Door". At one point we ended up in a staff area and almost got locked in there as the door locks from the outside which we did not realise (swapping the lock around would make much more sense so that guests are not accidentally walking in to staff only sections). Thankfully we encountered a staff member quickly and they were able to get us back into the guest section. It was also difficult to locate the "Games Room" as as the signage was not clear on how to find it. I did notice that our room did not have any additional towels to use for the pool, but as we didn't use the pool, I'm not sure that we couldn't have simply asked for some from Reception. The kitchen had most of what we needed which made it quite easy to prepare our meals. There is also a corner store located just outside the building which added to our convenience, as did the little coffee kiosk in the reception car park which served delicious coffee! We used the bbqs near the pool and playground and found them clean and well maintained. The kids also enjoyed playing on the fenced playground. I appreciated that the underground parking was free, but ourselves and one other guest that we saw did get a little confused as to how to exit the carpark as the card reader to open the gate is easy to miss. The BreakFree Resort itself is well situated, with the beach right at your doorstep, and a short walk or drive to other various attractions and locations. Overall, was a great stay. Would stay again.

I recently stayed at BreakFree Alexandra Headland Beach, and unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience. We booked approximately two months in advance and were allocated a fourth-floor room in a building where the lift was completely unavailable due to renovations. Prior to arrival, the resort sent an email advising that renovations “might not affect you during your stay as only one building’s lift will be out of order at all time.” What was not clearly communicated was that our allocated room would have no lift access at all, meaning we would need to use the stairs every time we entered or left the building. Had this been clearly disclosed before our arrival, we could have requested a different building or cancelled the booking. Having to climb six flights of stairs multiple times a day was extremely inconvenient and concerning, particularly after seeing elderly guests and people struggling with the stairs. While reception did offer assistance with carrying our luggage on arrival, that does not address the ongoing issue of having no lift access throughout the stay. Available parking spots were also far away forcing us to carry our bags a significant distance then up 6 flights of stairs. Once in our room we were disappointed again. The room was dated, there were insects crawling out of our bathroom drain. The balcony never received any sun. It was obvious we were allocated the worst possible room in the entire hotel. I cannot fathom why you would rent out rooms without a working lift. Why not close that wing of the hotel and do some much needed renovations at the same time? I subsequently lodged a formal complaint with Accor outlining these concerns and requesting that the matter be investigated. I received no response whatsoever. For me, the lack of communication before arrival was concerning. Guests deserve to be given accurate information about significant limitations to the facilities they have booked, and legitimate concerns should at least receive an acknowledgement and response. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both its communication with guests during renovations and its handling of formal complaints.
