We have stayed several times at Sirocco and always enjoyed our time there. This time we were a little disappointed with the overall quality of the room. It was a penthouse but was much smaller compared to other rooms we've had and it must have had some minor repairs done as there was still some plaster dust in the bathroom and the bin also had plaster in it. The decor was dated, the main TV was quite small especially when paying a premium price, the internet was not consistent and continually dropped out and the main bed was very bouncy and uncomfortable. These were minor things but did impact on our overall enjoyment of our stay. The biggest concern was the main bathroom which ended up covered in water when having a shower. The water would flow around the top of the bath straight onto the floor so we had to continually use towels to try and stop it pooling under the basins. I have had recent knee surgery so this was a major concern safety-wise. I am hoping this unit has been flagged for a refurbishment like some of the other units have as I would assume all these issues will be corrected. Even with these issues, we will happily stay again however will not choose a penthouse room next time. The staff are always great to deal with and the location is excellent with the beach across the road, beautiful views and all shops/restaurants within walking distance. Secure parking is always a bonus too.

I'm also sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the internet, the comfort of the bed, the television, and particularly the bathroom. The water escaping from the shower and creating a slip hazard is especially concerning, particularly given your recent knee surgery. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will ensure this is investigated as a priority so the issue can be rectified. Many of our apartments are individually owned, and refurbishment schedules are managed in consultation with the owners. The location is terrific (apart from the foreshore work being done, but that’s temporary) apartment was well appointed, spacious & all in all, a home away from home. If I had to find a fault, the only one I can think of was it would have been nice if the salt & pepper shakers that were sitting there actually had salt & pepper in them! I did say it was hard to find fault. We look forward to returning.
