Location was good. Elevator was an issue throughout stay either door closing too soon or not opening fully. On last evening on way out for dinner it was permanently stuck at basement, on way back signs were going up that lift out of order and technician had been called. Still out of order as we were checking out and getting luggage & people down to car. There was a spillage at top of last flight of stairs which caused our special needs granddaughter to fall on stairs , luckily is ok. Reception told me lifts were working But a call later to me confirmed that they weren’t but reception unaware of latest problem. A week after checkout the $200 security payment to cover charges is still showing on bill. On first day shower had fell and hit me on shoulder. Not all balcony doors had fly screens. Balconies were very dirty.

A potentially good place but unfortunately let down by age, lack of maintenance and atrocious service.

Initially I thought that these apartments were quite good. They are very spacious and well located but then I started to see where they had not been maintained. On top of a LOT of wear and tear we then found a major mould problem above the dining room table. Then went to put some stuff in the bin and found a major maggot infestation. Blinds were tattered. The view out the kitchen window was some rusting old satellite dish. The basin in the bathroom was loose. Drain pipes were rusted through making it impossible to leave the apartment when it was raining without getting soaked. (see photos). Problems started at check in. Demanded an extra payment despite everything having been paid in full. Tried to claim it was a booking on Expedia which they hadn’t received payment from. Had to get the travel agent American Express involved to reverse it. They refused to record my Accor membership against the booking, despite the fact that I wasn’t expecting any points as it was an external booking. Definitely not the standard that I would expect from an Accor property. Probably should have read the other reviews before booking as it would seem this experience is quite common.

Spacious house and great location

We were some mums and teenage daughters having a few nights away to celebrate yet another wonderful year. The house was spacious with a lovely outlook and pool and had everything that was needed. We have all said that we would definitely return but there are some things that need attending to at House 108 that are really just a basic expectation. The garage door remote had not been checked and didn’t work (most likely a new battery was required), cobwebs on the high ceilings in the kitchen and living area, some of the couch cushion covers were threadbare with holes and broken zippers. The button in the garage for opening the garage door had an exposed microchip and we had to very carefully press the sensor in the centre of that. Very dangerous! There was aircon in the main bedroom thank goodness but only fans in the 2 downstairs bedrooms and the rooms were hot. The aircon in the main living area also didn’t work and turned off after 10 mins. With midgies and high temps, keeping the doors open was a bit problematic. One of the sliding doors desperately needs the ball bearings replaced as we could barely push it back and it made a really awful noise. All these things are fixable and having shared the cost amongst the 3 mums and enjoying the spaciousness, comfy beds and proximity to the beach, lake, and restaurants, we still decided that we would return at some stage.

Construction in unit above was unbearable on every day of our stay. Driveway partially blocked by tradesmen.
