We had a comfortable room on the 10th floor overlooking the ocean. Staff were helpful and prompt in responding to room service requests and room were clean and tidy. Fresh, rather than long life, milk and some complimentary biscuits, and an ice tray in the fridge would raise the standard to a higher level.

We stayed in a Mantra in Exmouth and it was superb quality. This one in Mooloolaba was not up to scratch. That’s two stays in an Accor hotel below standard. Why? Shockingly bad internet access (mainly ‘none’ even though we are Accor members), ants in the bathroom and poor noise dampening from flimsy windows. I expected more; alas we wouldn’t stay there again. One good thing: Coles next door and easy access to the beach.
