Loved the unit and the location. The only thing that would be a big advantage is to have hand rails in the shower and in the bath. We are in our 70's and almost slipped in the shower a couple of times.

I called Sebel Maroochydore and advised my mother at 84 was in wheelchair & seeking a 2 bedroom disability room. Booking was taken with ramp and shower chair would be provided. On arrival the wheelchair was unable to enter shower or toilet and no handrails for assistance. A second room was offered but unable to enter the bathroom. The Manager was brilliant in her assistance in booking another hotel in Accor network with transfer of funds and booking information. We booked this hotel for a lost family reunion where my mother at 84 was to meet her 4 half brother's for the first time. We latter found out the new family member's had booked 3 rooms at Sebel Maroochydore and we lost reconnection time at dinner and breakfasts.

I sincerely apologize for the challenges you encountered, particularly regarding the accessibility of our rooms for your mother. I understand how disappointing and frustrating this situation must have been, especially with such a meaningful family reunion planned. While we do our best to accommodate all our guests by providing aids such as ramps and shower chairs however, we do not offer accessible rooms. In saying this. we acknowledge that the room setup did not meet your mother's needs, and for that, I am truly sorry. I am, however, pleased to hear that our manager was able to assist in finding an alternative hotel within the Accor network. Nevertheless, I regret that this disrupted the precious time you had hoped to spend with your family. Please know that your feedback is incredibly important to us, and we will continue to evaluate ways to better meet the needs of our guests. Should your travels bring you back to the area, we would be more than happy to assist with finding the best possible accommodations. A lovely large unit but does require a lot of T.L.C. Especially in the bathrooms. Extractor fans do not work. The basin taps drip and wet the bench top. The grouting in the on suit had mold which could be cleaned. The lint catcher in the drier had been damaged and had holes so the lint could pass the catcher and go into the drier. We took the catcher to reception and reported it. Driers can be one of the worst fire causes in a household. We had a fourteen day stay and feel that the service could be more regular. Don't think you should have to go to reception to get towel and tea bags. This is not a complaint; it is just to bring these things to your attention. We had a very good stay and would recommend your resort. Hope to return one day.
