Good location - however the apartment does need some upgrade - painting, replace the fridge and realign the cupboards

Whilst we had a lovely stay, our room was dirty on arrival which was disappointing considering we were promised a ‘VIP’ clean. Cleaners were sent back up to clean grotty finger prints off all kitchen utilities. Floors were dirty and bathroom with black mould. Common areas were also grotty, the lifts for the entire course of our stay had a drink spill mark all over the door and wall. I wouldn’t stay again due to the cleanliness especially during covid.

Well Located, Unit disappointing

Unit was very basic in the furnishings and kitchen utensils. Table and chairs require felt added to the legs to avoid noise penetrating to the units below or carpet square supplied under the dining area, it was hard to even sit on a chair without it scrapping and making loud dragging noises for the unit below. Kitchen utensils are limited, wok and frying pan both had handles that fell off when picked up. Cutlery was very limited. There was a safe in the wardrobe which could not be used as the safe door was hanging off its hinges. Maintenance to a corner cupboard door in the kitchen required a new hinge and as much as we agreed to have the door removed to avoid any further damage (on our first day) it was never repaired during our 8 day stay. Very disappointing when you consider the cost of per night was $767.28. 2 other units allocated to other family members were much better equipped and better maintained.

I sent this email to the property itself during my stay and have not yet received a reply. Just one more poor item to add to our experience, I hope this survey finds the right person and I receive a response: I am staying in room 206 and wanted to provide feedback to you directly to let you know that it was not up to the standard expected of a room at this price. When we went to use the spa bath in the master suite I was extremely disappointed to find ants crawling out of the jet holes, so many that we gave up completely on using it. It was one of the draw cards for this expensive luxury unit and is really not good enough. Photo attached. Of lesser disappointment is the smell in the second bathroom that you really need to investigate, leaving the window open helps a bit but we close it when we go out, returning to a rank smell. The fridge does also not close properly without intervention, forgetting to manoeuvre the door into place left food and drinks at sub-optimal temperatures bordering on being inedible and/or inconvenient. We have had also food fallen on our balcony from above which may be out of your control but still takes away from the enjoyment of this otherwise wonderful property. Our children finally got to fly home from Melbourne for this holiday and my wife got out of hospital the day we arrived and we were looking to perfection as shown on the website but it missed the mark by a lot. I did not complain to the staff because I did not want a parade of service staff and tradespeople through the apartment, further disrupting our stay. Had it been longer than three nights I would have but being a short stay we barely managed to put up with these shortcomings. We love the location and are big Mantra fans but would expect a credit of the amount of our stay so that we can come back another time and hopefully have the holiday we were expecting.

Team that welcomed us made us feel welcome. Room cleanliness was not to 100% satisfaction. Sand in the common bathroom and balcony. My stuff rolled under the sofa. As I extended my hands to pick it up, my hands collected dust in the process. Also the cleaners had left their trolley in the hallway obstructing luggage trolley to be rolled. I moved it aside and so as it happens, one of the cleaners walked in from the lift and gave me disapproval look as if I was the one who inconvenienced them when in fact they left it there and had gone on break.

I booked a room with a very specific purpose in mind ( it’s own individual spa) only to be told that the room I had booked some 4 weeks earlier and paid for was no longer available, because the owners decided they wanted it ( perhaps because the state boarders had opened?) To rub salt into the wound, the replacement room we were given was one level up from the ground floor units, so we got to look at the units we were initially so excited to book and wish we had for our entire stay. Although we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment, it was pretty disappointing to be advised the week you are booked in that the room you booked is no longer available.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the position is fantastic - short walk to the beach (just across the road) and shops/restaurants are at the doorstep. Only issue we had was noise, flat above must have had tiled floor and this made it very noisy and very hard to sleep at nights ..... no matter how good the motel is and how great the position, if you can't sleep at night it really affects your holiday.

Great apartment with fabulous views. Great roof top deck with private bbq and spa area. Convenient location with shops and restaurants just on the ground floor and Coles supermarket just around the corner which was very convenient. Parked the car and able to walk everywhere.
