Hi Christine, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm sincerely sorry to hear about the condition of Room 179 and the disappointment you experienced throughout your four-night stay. The cleanliness concerns you have described, particularly the dust and mould around the vents, skirting boards and fittings, are very concerning. I was there for a conference. No water supplied in the rooms. Empty mini bar. Room service number goes unanswered. Basins in main reception bathrooms often didn't work. I told staff on 4 separate occasions, and the issue was not resolved. This is not a 4 star resort. 3 at best.

Upgraded to a suite, the facilities were poor and over-rated. We were placed on an upstairs floor, a disaster for people with physical disabilities, especially with no ramp/lift, just stairs. I'm not sure what the upgrade even gave us; nothing of any worth, that's for sure. The lighting was shocking; there was one lamp on one side in the bedroom and one sconce-type light by the front door for the lounge dining area. The TV had only local channels, no USB for charging, no internet, and no instructions on how to access it, if available. The curtains were extremely difficult to open and close. The room was outdated with tired decor. The lounges were not much better. Not an upgrade by any means. Parking was a nightmare; we were told they were at capacity and that we might need to park on the side. We drove in circles trying to find a suitable space; fortunately, someone exited on our fourth drive around, otherwise we would have been stuck.

I was disappointed that we weren't able to have a pullout bed in the cheaper room, and paid a huge amount more to fit 3 people. Then hit with an extra cost to change rooms, days before we even got there. It cost far more than I'd hoped. It was well over-due for renovations, as I noticed damage everywhere, including the railing on our 2nd floor balcony was rotten at the bottom and the whole panel swung out. I was pleased to see the long overdue work started, though noise of renovations next door was necessary, it was not pleasant on our 'relaxing' holiday. People should be warned you are renovating. There was also very limited choices on the TV for both myself and my sons. We could only watch what happened to be on the limited live channels.

The resort grounds are beautiful, but unfortunately the standard of accommodation and housekeeping did not meet our expectations. We booked two rooms for seven nights at a total cost of $3,955.80. Both rooms initially allocated to us had a very unpleasant musty, mouldy smell. After complaining, we were moved to renovated rooms, which were a significant improvement, and we appreciated the staff arranging this. However, there was still a substantial difference between the two rooms. One had a separate bedroom, lounge, dining area and kitchen, while the other was simply a single room with two beds and a bathroom. We had expected similar accommodation and feel the differences should have been made clearer when booking. Housekeeping was also inconsistent throughout our stay. There were several occasions when our rooms were not serviced, either because we were in the room when housekeeping attended or because they simply weren’t cleaned. For a seven-night stay, we would have expected more consistent servicing and better arrangements for rooms that were occupied when housekeeping came around. For almost $4,000, we expected a higher standard of accommodation, cleanliness and overall value for money. While the grounds are lovely and the renovated rooms were much better, the accommodation experience was disappointing.

Great location and friendly staff. Rooms were clean but not well maintained, power outlet not working, sliding door stiff to open. Due to being in a wheelchair, difficult to access carpark at times as cars parked in ramp access from pathways. Overall pleasant stay and looking forward to returning again.

I stayed for four nights due to a work function. I had trouble calling for room service, and one night I had to walk to the cafe to manually place the order due to the phone being busy the whole time. Even when I did get through my $55 steak was delivered with a bamboo knife. Rooms are dated, with very few power points, and the 'king bed' was clearly two singles pushed together'; even a topper would have removed the massive gap in the middle of the bed

Overall a nice holiday however more staff required at the Lagoon Bar particularly over the lunch time and evening periods. Whilst most staff were accommodating and very helpful and friendly, a couple of them could lift their game. Having bar staff who cannot make cocktails contributed to the long wait times, this is not a criticism of most of the lovely bar staff, but perhaps merely a training issue. Was not happy that you didn't advertise the non use of the discount card on the October long weekend until the actual public holiday morning, this took a lot of people by surprise.
