Staff were mixed. Some were friendly and cheerful, while others were noticeably disengaged. The Sola restaurant was reasonable with a fair selection for dinner. However, the burger should be avoided, the bun was stale and unpleasant. Unfortunately, the rooms were well below an acceptable standard. The bedding had a strong, unpleasant odour to the point that two pillows had to be removed from the room and stored on the balcony. There was visible internal water damage to the ceiling with mould present. Dust build-up in the vents and throughout the room was excessive and concerning. The air conditioning was ineffective and extremely noisy, making sleep very difficult. Even when switched off, a loud hum continued and could be heard from outside the room. Daily housekeeping was inconsistent, some days were satisfactory, while others were extremely poor. Overall, the resort appears to be suffering from significant neglect. Severe water damage is visible throughout the property, along with fallen trees and uneven pathways at the rear of the accommodation that appear to have been left unattended for a long time. I have stayed at numerous Novotel properties across Australia, and this was by far the worst experience. It has unfortunately led me to decide that I will not stay at another Novotel again.

The front reception staff were amazing — efficient and very friendly. The Duty Manager, I believe her name was Kayla, had excellent communication skills and worked seamlessly with the night receptionist, Kirsty. Kirsty provided high-quality service and great direction in getting us to our room. The service was so welcoming that we will definitely be coming back. The kangaroos around the property were a delight to see, and the pool looks beautiful in the early morning while running around the lake. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to catch up with George in activities (I've heard only good feedback)

We had a brief overnight stay recently whilst up visiting friends. Disappointed that our platinum level was not recognised until I spoke to someone. The Queen beds were extremely small we thought.

We really enjoyed the peacefulness before the school rush. The water sports were brilliant for the family especially teenagers. Austin the Restaurant Manager was excellent in sorting out an issue with our ACCOR card and had an excellent communication style. He brought out a birthday desert for our daughter at dinner. This is our fourth stay and we will be back. Thank you to all the staff.
