We had a wonderful two-night stay and genuinely wished we had booked for longer. The rate offered was very reasonable, and the food at Sola Restaurant was excellent—definitely a highlight of our visit. We also really enjoyed the range of activities available, which made the stay even more memorable for the whole family. Overall, it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. We would highly recommend this property and would gladly return in the future.

Quality of food at Sola Bar and Restaurant could not be faulted. Great menu selection that utilises local ingredients, high quality produce, good portion sizes. You can tell the chef is passionate about their food. Solar Bar staff were mostly good. Room for improvement by some staff there by simply serving with a smile on their face. I had emailed a request prior to my stay for there to be one set of plates and cutlery in my room before I arrived. My request was acknowledged, but the plates and cutlery were not there. Positive thing was my request for a quiet room was fulfilled satisfactorily. What brought down my experience was the presence of multiple cockroaches in my bathroom. There were cockroaches in my room's bathroom when I used it at around 12:30am on the Saturday night/Sunday morning. I discovered two very small ones (3mm long), one on the sink and another on the floor, whilst one very large one around 6cm long was found sitting at the bottom of the glass where I kept my toothbrush, toothpaste, interdental brushes and comb. Furthermore, I stayed in the same room the previous two nights under reservation number QDNSCBFM. On the Friday morning, I discovered one small cockroach (3mm) on the bath mat.

The room was comfortable, could have been cleaner. Miscommunication on check in and items organised for my husband’s birthday were organised at last minute and unfortunately not up to scratch. Several staff require further training in customer liaison and if you advertise certain upgrades etc make sure you honour them please in future. We would definitely stay again but unless the menu is upgraded would not eat at facility. Table service in restaurant should be considered. Service was extremely slow waited an hour for 2 takeaway coffees one evening after dinner.
