We stayed in late April, the resort is very family friendly and we felt right at home with many other families with young children. Great activities for the kids including games and fish feeding which the kids loved. The food and bar were also very nice. The hotel room itself is very dated and needs a refurbishment

Don't bother staying here without a good deal or you will feel ripped off. We were on a 'Luxury Escapes' package. Tired rooms in need of a renovation. The whole resort in fact needs a good once over. They clearly don't clean under the beds as I was doing some stretches on the very worn carpet and noticed several lost toys under the bed. Wouldn't recommend the sofa bed for anyone but small children. It's a great location. Swim in the pool, sail on the lagoon, or stroll around the lagoon. Close to beach. But the main downside is the poor service. Check-in person didn't make any effort - just shoved me the room key and vouchers. Didn't bother explaining about the inclusions or the activities or amenities. The bar person was best described as insolent. Wouldn't let me charge a drink to my room (so I didn't get to use the supposed credit for not having my room serviced - so that was useless). When I wanted to use the drink voucher, made it seem like I was a nuisance - and it only covers what is on tap anyway. Questioned every morning about whether the kids were part of the included breakfast. Then the waitstaff was clearing away dishes, dropped the dirty fork onto the chair, mumbled a Sorry and walked away - pretty sure anywhere else with decent staff would have made some effort to clean it up.

I am a gold member, and when I first arrived, the young lady advised that my husband and I were in a room with 2 double beds. I asked the young lady behind the desk to change this for us and she wasn't very happy about that and I also asked for a late checkout and that I would pay the $50 for that privilege. She said the room was unavailable and she was unwilling to assist. The following morning, I spoke to a young gentleman who was extremely helpful and advised that it would be no problem for us to extend our room. On another note, we always stay at Twin Waters when we travel to the Sunshine Coast, we have noticed that the food quality has been deteriorating for some time, that we actually leave the resort and eat elsewhere. Also, not being able to use my ACCOR card for breakfast on a public holiday is ludicrous.

Your "Resort" is quite run down in and around the room and room area's - holes in ceilings over stairs with water pouring through, generally dirty room with maintenance needs throughout
