We have stayed here many times and have always found it to be most enjoyable. They have renovated the foyer and bar areas very nicely but rooms are yet to be done. We are Accor members so were given a fabulous upgrade. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Room was very nice and clean. Daily service was brief and mostly just a tidy up as no amenities were tooped up during our stay and nothing seemed to actually be cleaned. Service in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss as there seemed to be no clear direction. Especially during our night in the seafood buffet.

Adequate but not what I expected for the price

I decided to treat myself to 3 nights in a fancy resort and although it was roomy and adequate with a great spa bath that I utilised every night it certainly wasn't as fancy or modern as I thought it may be for the price of $1,200 for just 3 nights. There was no booklet in the room to promote the activities or options for my stay. There were some instructions on the T.V. but I had no way of knowing this as I didn't watch the T.V until the last night. Then the remote control wouldn't work properly. So I missed out on the included water sports, I couldn't find the spa menu or booking process and the Seafood smorgasbord was spoilt by Covid not being able to select your own food but wait in line and guess what the salads might be as you couldn't enter the area and you felt pressured to hurry up and decide. I wasn't informed of this when I made the booking or even when I arrived. Not until I was seated. But still charged the full $85 for one person. You can't help the horrible weather and Covid but I guess it contributed to the stay experience not being as great as I had hoped. No room clean either 'due to covid' which was disappointing to have to wash up and clean while I was there. There were things that were unclean and unhygienic like the built up dust on the vent right above the bed and a big bug hiding in my fresh towel that fell into my spa when I grabbed the towel off the rack. I wouldn't stay here again. For that price I am sure I could find somewhere a bit more fancy that offer a better service. Lesson learnt.

We had a great stay, kids love the water activities which are included. Staff were lovely on all accounts. I loved that I got a phone call before my arrival to say room was ready. Even if it was at 2pm when I was already in line to check in. The reception area and bar were excellent and clean, love the refurbishment since I stayed last. The pool was closed the last time I stayed for maintenance so I was expecting a little more from the pool area this time but it’s very run down and the tiles around the pool are lifting and raised or missing in section making it a little dangerous moving around the pool. Also the room is a lovely set out great for a few nights stay, however our room was quite dusty around the lamp and I don’t think under the phone had been cleaned in some time. I only moved these things to use the table Also the bath wasn’t a very relaxing experience as the silicone around the bath and tile grout was dirty, I used the face washer to wash a part it washed off easy. I had to stop myself from cleaning the whole thing. Overall a joyed our stay but cleanliness needs to be looked at.

Stayed in the overwater lagoon room which was very good. Friendly teams. Great location. Check in/our process was painful and express checkout via TV app as advertised wasn’t working and staff knew but didn’t advise/update hotel information. Service versus price/value not as good as Hilton on the evidence of this visit though management are trying hard post COVID. Staff at the Deli Cafe are excellent. Will stay again when it’s less busy and has established better service routines. Keep working at it. Great location, excellent room & thank you

Whilst the hotel was good and we enjoyed our stay overall, it was disappointing compared to our last stay. There were a number of activities that we were looking forward to that were no longer available, or were now charged for. Bikes, SUP, Windsurfing, Archery all used to be included and available (for free) at the resort when we last stayed here. To charge $75 per day for a bike is very expensive - I can go to a themepark on the Gold Coast for the same price as a simple bike hire at Novotel! The inflatable waterpark which is pictured in many of the Novotel images online was also not there. The breakfast buffet variety had also reduced substantially from the last time we stayed here, however I am not sure if this is due to unavoidable COVID restrictions or not. The absence of a breakfast staple such as pancakes was particularly disappointing. I also wasn't aware before booking that the Lily restaurant was no longer operating. Also, the room was very dated and had not been thoroughly cleaned - we pulled back the bed blanket and two cockroaches crawled out! The air conditioning seemed to get hotter overnight and did not work properly, although it was very cool during the day which was good. Finally, in my initial booking I mentioned this was a special trip for us as a couple as I was surprising my girlfriend for our 10 year anniversary. Novotel was a special part of our relationship as it was where I took her for our first holiday 10 years ago. Was hoping the hotel could arrange something special for her upon check in, however it appeared that my requests had not even been read in the first place as I had to specifically request, again, for late checkout.

It’s our second time stay up here. It’s nice place for holidays. But one thing which wasn’t satisfying that there’s no microwave in the room. This time I had my knee surgery and wasn’t able to drive. During stay it’s a thunderstorm and my husband had a few shorts and then kids didn’t have anything to eat because we r vegetarian. We so had some food but can’t eat cold . So really missing that option. So if you are staying for few days then really need microwave.

Definitely fooled by the nice high quality reception fitout. Room was disgusting - not clean food under bed mould in bathroom dirty toilet fridge leaked water onto floor - this is def not even a 4 star hotel Significantly over priced Waited 10 minutes at bar to get a drink - no staff Every time we called reception it took at least 2-3 minutes to get through

The room and outdoor facilities and the water sport staff were great but the buffet breakfast and seafood buffet were below standard and generally disappointing. The bbq’s have been removed from the garden area which was disappointing as well.
