The quality of the service , the serious lack of staff to look after the amount of patrons over the weekend ,
Our room was clean however certainly not worth the money charged and not worth the upgrade.
We had quite large cockroaches in our room as well as smaller ones in the room .
We are from melbourne so I’ve never seen the size of the big ones . The cleaning staff were quick to respond with a spray however I didn’t want chemical spray in the room whilst we were in it due to allergy to strong pesticides.
The food quality was disappointing as well .
I am a long standing accor and accor holidays of a lifetime and this whole 4 nights was more than disappointing. I definitely wouldn’t book to stay here again .
We even had an employee say when , we wanted a clean bottle of water and he picked up a used bottle and refilled it . When we said “ no Please a fresh bottle from the fridge “
He said “ if you wanted that you should stay at a 5 star hotel “

We do have regular pest control for the resort and we will follow this up with our housekeeping team. The weather is getting warmer in Queensland, which might also added to the cause of that. As a Gold Accor Member I felt that I wasn’t as valued as I have been in the past at other Accor venues. I.e the room contained an uncomfortable bed, there was no coffee machine in the room, a room upgrade wasn’t even offered and I had mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary prior to arrival (and why we travelled) and in the past we have had a complimentary bottle of wine.
The hospitality (dining staff) seemed overworked and tired. As a pregnant woman, my drink preference was unfortunately unavailable (zero prosecco).

Well located and close to the beach. We really enjoyed the beautiful walk around the lagoon. Kayaking and sailing are also great complementary activities for families.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, just as we expected from a 4-star resort. We will absolutely come back soon.

Our stay was amazing, hotel and facilities are superb but the Sola restaurant food (lunch and dinner menu) was a bit too simple. We traveled in a group with lots of Asian ppl and there’s not a single dish with rice. Kids chicken tenders were inedible. Breakfast buffet is awesome though.

The state itself was pleasant some very lovely staff however some very arrogant and rude stuff. Also this I found very disturbing. We enjoyed our meals apart from the steak which was so chewy we couldn’t eat which again was really disappointing. I would’ve liked to have said something at the time, however my partner didn’t want to make a fuss at the bar. There certainly was not enough staff. There was one staff member at night time trying to do multiple cocktails and serve and do food which was really difficult for him which made him very unpleasant so this was super disappointing.

The reception and the hall was nice, facilities were great. However, both me and my parents room’s ac were too loud, did not sleep well. Understand it was the entry level room but still a bit disappointed.

housekeeping were fantastic although the rooms are very outdated. Some were renovated so you would think being an Accor member a paid upgrade would entitle you to be of these rooms. The location of the rooms facing the lagoon were lovely.

Our stay was disappointing. The food very average (across a number of meals) - this was disappointing given the remote location of the resort where reliance on inhouse food was required. I appreciate the weekend was busy with the dance nationals however we had dinner in the restaurant one night and had to queue for 20 jobs to get a drink - that is unacceptable. housekeeping attention to detail was missing (old cups/glasses, empty bottles/cans were just left in the room for days), after 2 nights the room bathroom started smelling like a urinal.

I stayed one night as I was attending a conference the next day. I wish i had an extra night and a little more relaxation time. I'm an Accor diamond member and was appreciative of my upgrade to an over-water villa.
In keeping with most Novotel properties, the furnishing cheap and basic, think IKEA type chairs and sofas, which is such a shame as the property is lovely. The pool and bar area is very nice, the food I had at the conference and the conference area was great.
I ordered a room service Pizza and salad. It was fabulous.
I left a necklace in the room and they called me and posted it back to me! Thank you!
