We decided to book for end of the year holiday based on our first and previous experience on October where we got a beautiful room, well maintained and spot clean. This time was different, our room had a great a view but the conditions of the bedroom carpet and the toilet was disappointing. The carpet on the bedroom has a giant orange spot just next to the bed. The toilet was disgustingly brown stained. I didn't know even when the rooms are naturally different, we could have the very bad luck to get one in bad conditions for the same price which feels so unfair. Still love the location of the hotel and will look forward to book again but maybe this time will ask to guarantee a good room otherwise prefer not to proceed with the booking.

Two out of the three units I booked needed a lot of love unfortunately. Luckily one room was refurbished and more comfortable to stay in. It was well decked out and more enjoyable, the other two units were in desperate need of some TLC.

Was worried reading the recent reviews and unfortunately they were all true. Room was tired, cracks in walls, blinds broken and didn’t shut. Small living space. No pool towels supplied to guests. Customer service mediocre. Spoke with Receptionist about getting more towels to use for the duration of our stay (2 nights) and she said they had none. I said the washing machine wasn’t working and she said come back the following day and maybe they might have more towels delivered and maybe she can have someone look at the washing machine which didn’t happen. Kids loved the renovated pool area which was so lovely. The hotel was 2 doors down from wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. Love Caloundra but would not stay here again.

Having grandchildren, we all love the pools, they put activities on for the kids the room was lovely and plenty of space
