I drove from northern Spain to the hotel in one day, a journey of around 10 hours, so by the time we arrived we were understandably tired. On arrival, I checked in with the lady at the front desk while my wife and our two children (aged 5 and 3) remained in the car. The check-in initially appeared to go smoothly. I then went back outside to collect my family. My 5-year-old was asleep, so we needed to bring her into the hotel in her pram. As we entered, the female receptionist called us over and told us that we could not stay in the room because our booking only included one child. I explained that the room had a double bed and a single bed and that our children would simply share the single bed. Despite explaining this several times, the only response I repeatedly received was, “It’s not possible.” After around five attempts to explain that the room was perfectly suitable for our family, the receptionist continued to insist that it was not possible. This was extremely distressing and frustrating, particularly after such a long journey with two young children. I then asked whether we could book another room. The receptionist sighed and tutted in a way that made it seem as though this was an inconvenience to her, and I was genuinely concerned that we were going to be refused accommodation altogether. Thankfully, a male manager came over and resolved the situation, confirming that we could stay in the room. This was a huge relief. I should also point out that approximately two weeks before our stay, I had noticed the issue with the booking and had tried contacting the hotel numerous times by telephone and email to explain that we would be travelling with our two children. Unfortunately, I never received a response to any of my attempts to contact the hotel. The hotel itself and the room were lovely and were exactly what we needed, which makes the experience particularly disappointing. The issue was entirely down to the way the situation was handled by the female receptionist. After a 10-hour drive with two young children, the last thing you expect is to arrive at your hotel and be made to feel that you may not even be allowed to stay, especially when you had already tried to contact the hotel in advance to resolve the issue. The male manager was helpful and reassuring, but unfortunately the experience with the receptionist left a very poor impression and overshadowed what was otherwise a lovely hotel.

Stayed here as a single parent with two children. Brilliant location out of the town. Super quiet and great breakfast. Just a short bus ride to the centre with a bus station outside the hotel (Ader). Clean and well presented and friendly and helpful staff. Perfect stop if travelling.

Very disappointing stay, check in was all via a screen which gives you a code to get in to the hotel and your room . The room was tiny for 2 guests. Very small pillows, very small bath towels, no hairdryer in the room. No kettle to make a cup of tea, nothing at all. Just a vending machine in the lobby. quite a drive from the city centre, had to get an Uber taxi each way. Breakfast was ok... nothing special

For a budget hotel it was ok, but the room was very stuffy. But the room was very stuffy and there was no air circulation. It was not only our room but the same with another room where my sons were sleeping. Another thing is I had to my code in the Mercury hotel next door and they charged me €19,02 tourist tax. When i booked the hotel it was a different amount. I tried to talk to the receptionist but she said no english.

The rooms are cosy, but we did have ski gear we brought up to the room, though could slide our board bag under the bed no problem. Room was clean, comfy bed, great location. We went to the all you can eat oriental buffet near hyper u/mcdonalds. That was brilliant and close by. Would stay again.

First room had issues with electricity. The pillows are too flat and the bed is very uncomfortable. For the 90 euro that we paid for Ibis budget we could better have stayed at an other hotel. No Ibis budget again !!
