Only addition as we have a young baby would be the provision of a kettle so we could have accessed sterile water

Perfect for overnight stop

Arrived mid-evening, warm welcome from the receptionist, who helped my poor French with her English. The facilities were clean and we had a quiet night before an early departure.

Normally the saying is “cheap and cheerful “, but there was no cheer at all, so it’s just cheap. ......and that’s it. Rooms are horrendous. Very basic, very grubby, stains everywhere. Bathrooms are smelly, tiny shower, sink shelf all chipped, towels are thin and worn. Breakfast is okay so if that’s all you want, a cheap bed for the night and a breakfast to get you back on the road then it’s fine. Just don’t try to book a cheap stopover with anyone you care about and certainly don’t share a double bedroom, they’re awful and good for one person only. Enjoy.

Fine except for the fact that for the second time the manager tried to charge me again -despite having an email telling me there was nothing to pay

Arrived to find a message explaining that reception was closed for the night - and a number to ring only in the case of emergency.

Poor maintenance, poor service

Room was shabby. Light fitting broken. Mattress sagged in the middle. Shower door would not close. Bad smell in the bathroom. Damaged bathroom door. No fruit for breakfast. Bad coffee. We booked the family room for 4 people but only 2 pillows were provided. We arrived late so there were no staff on site. In the morning, when I told the manager, he just shrugged and did not even apologise. This hotel was much better when it was a Mister Bed. Looks like it hasn't had any maintenance since then. Don't want to stay there again.

We had difficulties getting into the hotel as the reception was closed (although it was meant to be open 24h) and no one informed us that the key to our room was left in the safety locker next to the entrance. It took us a good 1h in the middle of the night with little children to contact the receptionist who then provided us with the required code to open the locker. After staying at F1 many times, we were overall disappointed with the standard of the room as it looked run down. On the plus side, we were surprised to be served fresh croissants for breakfast.

Not well maintained, but perfect location

Out of 6 lights in the room and bathroom, only 2 actually worked. The bed was comfortable and the room relatively clean, although a little tired looking. Location great for a stopover from Calais to the Alps and pretty good value for money.

Hotel filthy

I understand that this is a cheap stay, but the hotel was filthy, with paint and marks all over the carpet. The bathroom was horrid. The paint on the walls was dirty, peeling and chipped. Just very run down and needs attention

Reception spoilt the rxperience

Very disappointed that your reception staff appeared to be dishonest by charging guests a city tax (in cash) when this was already included in the amount paid on credit card. They did not provide a receipt for this and this has never happened at any other booking. Its not the amount that is the problem - it is the principal of what took place. Having limited french we felt unable to challenge this.

Very helpful reception staff. We found the two rooms we had booked to be very short of space, and in need of some attention. The door of the en-suite could not be locked as the lock mechanism did not function. This was discovered after being locked in! The other room had a foul smelling toilet.

This is a tired hotel

Even though I had checked in online to save time on arrival this didn’t Seem to make a difference. It seemed to me there was a question about the amount I had paid online which was irritating.

Tiny dark room, very stained and dirty carpets throughout.

Well placed for surrounding areas and easy to find off of the autoroute with a choice of places to eat within walking distance. Clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and helpful.
