I was told that all superior rooms are in the far back of the hotel. It’s in an old part of the hotel, non-renovated corridor, which makes you feel like second-class clients rather than any exclusive upgrade. Beds are extremely narrow and non-comfortable. It was my worst night in a hotel in a very long time. Air co cannot be properly managed in the room with your very old temperature control. Even set on 5oC, it was too warm in the room. The windows close automatically and cannot be kept open at night for fresh air. The only positive aspect was the outside space with many lovely patio chairs and lounge chairs around the pool. But with the very bad bed and standard room. I will not come back to this hotel

The facilities are very new. The bed is comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious. We didn’t use the outdoor space, but it looks like it’s gonna be amazing in the summer. The bar tender can be a bit more friendly/enthusiastic.

Friendly service. Pool table a great addition, but neither reception nor the bar could help with coins. It is annoying that we get asked to tip for each beer we order. If I have to get up and queue for a beer, I am not going to tip. There was no milk or cups in the room for coffee. We had to fetch it and it was powdered milk - even the worst hotels I go to have better refreshments in rooms. Breakfast was good and there was a lot of attentive staff ensuring everything remained stocked up and was fresh. Reception service and convenience was excellent. This is a low hassle hotel that meets our needs very well as a stop-over on the way up to Calais. Overall we like it and will come back.
