A dad and his two daughters are limited in their options as to where to stay all together Novotel is great because we can have a room for the three of us. However trying to eat in a room where the sofa bed is made up is rather challenging. Please give us more space or make an exception if you cannot easily eat in the room to eat in the dining room. Even if it is officially closed.

In general OK. Due to covid, meals are served at the room. The first breakfast wasn't served on time, I had to call twice at the end a half hour after the agreed timing the roomservice came with the breakfast. Unfortunately without the requested food I had to indicated the day before on a paper.

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR DOGS!

A good hotel with friendly staff, although the restaurant staff could do better. The fee for a dog is now 25 euro which is ridiculous, they provide a dog bed + bowls and a chew and a toy, but if your dog is anything like mine , it won't use any of them. We stayed in lockdown but the room service was still operating, although the food wasn't great, but well done anyway. The blurb goes on and on about their fabulous cleaning programme in this cover period but still one of the 2 china cups had a large chip on the rim....so easy to check. That being said, we will continue to stay there as good outways the bad

I had changed my original booking and on arrival, it was not immediately allocated. The check-in staff was patient and efficient and very friendly in solving the problem and changed the booking without any additional charge although I had prepaid the room. Room Service was friendly and had no problem in providing me with my request. The room was very clean; bed comfortable; wifi was good. . Hotel conveniently situated just outside of Reims for a stopover before the Eurotunnel trip to the UK in the morning.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times before as the location breaks up my journey well. It's always been comfortable and friendly but the coffee is poor. However, three days earlier I stayed at the Ibis opposite. I found the Ibis staff and restaurant facilities on a par with the Novotel, in fact slightly better because of the breakfast choice and better coffee. During the stay this survey relates to, I found that the novotel bar/waiter staff were not attentive to serving the customers (especially in the bar area). I arrived at 1.30pm and asked the receptionists for an urgent croque monsieur. I was told to go to the bar area. I waited for 40mins thinking it was being prepared but when I went to the reception desk (there were no staff in the bar area), she looked aghast and said has no one seen you to take your order? The receptionist went to the kitchen and apologised to me. 15 minutes later, expecting my sandwich, one of the service staff told me there were no more croque monsieurs! So I then waited another 10-15 mins for some thing else. All this time I could hear the young staff talking and laughing in the kitchen (obviously having fun which is not a problem) but they were NOT focused on their customer areas. During the evening (9-10pm) a group of German guests got angry with the lack of service and one of them got up to find a member of staff and then told them they needed to do their job better. I used this moment to get myself another drink as there were no bar staff covering the bar! It's a tough choice for me now, do I stay with the novotel or the ibis opposite? The novotel is equally as comfortable and has a better looking bar area and pool. But when you're travelling through you want quick service, comfort and a good coffee. The coffee machines in the novotel breakfast bar are poor. The milk tastes of chocolate and the coffee is not piping hot. Coffee is import for me before a long journey and the coffee I had at the ibis opposite was very good (for a machine coffee). On that basis, I and my wife will probably use the ibis during our next transit.

Stay was good except for breakfast. No social distancing possible while choosing food which made the experience rather stressful. Long queues for coffee right next to pastry area of food. A bit more thinking regarding breakfast procedure would improve the experience.

Perfect for a 4* stop over - nothing beats a refreshing swim after a long drive.

Located 2 mins off the motorway, the location is perfect as a perfect stopover. We had driven for 10.5hrs, so jumping into a nice cool swimming pool was just perfect. The food is surprisingly good, both the evening meal and the breakfast. As an aside, they've done a good job with Covid regulations.
